Hello, I'm Deniz, 20M. I’m pretty much new to D&D, but I’ve wanted to try playing for a long time since I watched my friends play. I’m very interested in roleplay, fantasy settings, character interaction, survival, whatever the DM brings to the table really. I’m looking for a beginner-friendly group, I would also be open to a longer campaign if the group is comfortable with teaching a new player. My timezone is GMT+2 / CEST, and I’m based in Warsaw. Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

I've played D&D constantly for about 7 (almost 8) years, and I've made it the only thing I really do outside of school and work and such. I really enjoy D&D, not particularly because of the combat or roleplay, but more so because of the pure creativity and lore in campaigns. It sparks my mind in ways I can't usually which is one of the reasons for me enjoying it so much. I do still enjoy combat and roleplay a lot though, but I might struggle to get into my characters voice sometimes. In terms of what I like to play, I dabble in a little bit of everything. I've played all the way from homebrew campaigns, to roleplay campaigns, to official campaigns, all the way to oneshots. I've played every genre immaginable ranging from high-fantasy, low-fantasy, sci-fi, historical, modern, horror, and puzzle.

Hey! It's been a long time since I've played D&D and I'm looking to get back into it with a group who is laid back and doesn't mind someone with a partial grasp of the (5e) ruleset. I'm interested in a longer campaign, starting at or close to level 1, to be able to grow through. I'm looking to find some great world building set in more of the medieval/high fantasy setting, though am not opposed to other aspects being interwoven. I just love swords, shields, magic, and monsters. I have a character that I'm really looking to have come to live at a virtual table, though I'm not opposed to modifying that if it were needed. Unfortunately, I have limited availability due to work, family, and other responsibilities/activities, but am looking to commit to weekly/bi-weekly games or whatever else might work. Hopefully with individuals who are understanding and accepting of aforementioned responsibilities. My ideal time to play would be Wednesdays when I finish work around 8:30pm (EST) or later. Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that aren't all about fart jokes.. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters fun for the other players as well as the GM. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. I'm not adverse to long sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. Experience: I haven't played for two or three years, so I'll need a bit of help getting back up to speed. I know nothing about 5e 2024 rule changes. I'm generally a quick study and willing to learn anything new. I'd prefer a DnD 5e 2014 game, but would be willing to learn 2024 and I do have some experience with PF2e. I'd also be interested in playing Starfinder 2e as a completely new player. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. Been part of a Candela Obscura table for about 2 years every other Tuesday. Love that so much got a tattoo of it. Tried to branch out to roll 20 discord voice for a few months, got enjoyment out of it but i started to feel pressured to 'perform'. I also hated how an entire session could be filled up with just combat. While combat is fun, if it is number crunchy and too long it just feels like a waste of time. I'm a rp and lore junky. I loved the characters and story of my campaigns, did not care or know really how to make a super powerful and dps build. Which tells me while I prefer combat to be more rp prone. I'm a 34 year old mailman and husband and father, so time is very tight. I will post at least 5 posts a day. Depending on the workload and how high maintenance the family is, and if I find the pbp compelling, I might do a lot more. I hope so. That's why I ultimately ended up bowing out of the dnd. So my next stepping stone in my ttrpg journey is to find a pbp that posts normally that focuses on rp and story. While I appreciate the chaos and uncertainty of the dice it shouldn't be at the deterrent of player creativity, or fun, or rule of cool. But that's just me. I can learn any system or setting, I'm a smart dude. I value the people and the pc and the story over all. Also, I'm from Kansas. In the US. Normal sleep schedule. So CDT is where I'm at. Hello. I have been playing D&D 5e for 2 years, looking for a weekly game whether in 5e or 5.5e. Preferably evenings in the weekends, as I am available after 6 PM EST. Definitely can commit to a consistent weekly game night provided that if 1) IRL does not throw a wrench my way or 2) game is canceled. I enjoy a game where it is combat focused, in no way I am against roleplaying, could mix it up between the two. I am okay with character death, and games whether its homebrew, or official or games converted from different modules. My favorite class to play is the fighter and my go to favorite is the cavalier, a classic knight on horse subclass that defends his party and lives by his own code.

Over a decade plus of playing RPGs but not nearly enough as I'd have liked. I'm east coast based and work regular work hours, but down to fit my schedule with whatever works best with a group and don't mind varying timezones! Either weekly, bi-weekly, or whatever the best schedule fits for a group and I make it a point to always show up for each session unless something happens (I hate giving late notice). I'm open to many systems and don't mind either a focus on roleplay or combat, even if I do lean towards more roleplay! Love to learn a system and explore as well as have experience with west marches style games. I only ever played it with my family a hand full of times. However, I knew that type of game called to me always. I am mostly playing video games than Board games sadly these days. I am trying to get back into Board games more than video games however. I have very poor social skills and don't pick up on social cues very well and board games especially ones that forces people to interact for a common goal really help me. I also have PTSD and some other mental disabilities. I try to not let these hinder me but they do sadly. Very sorry for this. I am flexible when it comes to board games. Hello! I'm trying to get into DnD as a completely new player and I've never played it before. I've watched multiple campaignes on YouTube and ever since been wanting to play my own long, homebrew session of one. I've seen that as long as the DM is chill and willing to work with their players they'd allow you to use subclasses that aren't typically in DnD as a option to pick so I really wanna be a Entomancer. It's currently the only class I've thought of playing and the only one I have ideas for, I believe the main class for Entomancer would be a Druid so I'd be willing to fill in and be either a healing type druid or a damage type as those are the only things I've really looked into to make my class all the more real feeling. I've played some BG3 and Divinity 2 so I have a understanding of how to play a turn based game that has limited uses on certain spells and so forth. On the contrary, I've never actually played the tabletop or online version of DnD so I'd be completely in the dark for a majority of how it works.

Hello, I'm Marc, 30 years old, and I've been playing DnD for a few months now, both with an IRL friend group and through Baldur's Gate 3, which I understood to be good introduction to most basic mechanics of the TTRPG, though I think it does not do much to encourage consistency in roleplay aspects. I've also played other CRPGs in the past (Solasta, WH40K Rogue Trader). I'm looking for a weekly group on workdays evenings, except on tuesdays. As for playstyle, I tend to keep notes and map out dungeons while playing, so I tend to let others initally react to scenes, then step in, so maybe more reactive than proactive, except in situations when we get stuck on low-importance issues. Thus, I'm mostly leaning towards playing level-headed characters so far, though I may attempt to go out of my comfort zone in future games (not in the close future though). I value having options as a party, so i'll try playing characters that add to these options.I tend to prefer exploration and combat to pure roleplay scenes, but I don't mind attempting a more roleplay-heavy campaign

I got into DnD through Baldurs Gate 3 and then started listening to DnD podcasts so that's all the experience and knowledge I have and I have no previous experience with Pathfinder (but open to learn/try).
