Genesys

Craft a myriad of adventures with unparalleled freedom!

Overview

Genesys is a role playing system designed for flexibility and adaptability, specifically tooled to work with any setting imaginable. The Genesys Core Rulebook not only contains an overview of the rules and how the innovative narrative dice system works, but everything a GM and players need to run adventures in five completely different settings.  Everything from equipment to adversaries, character abilities to an overview of narrative tropes, all is provided in the core rulebook for Genesys. With a system so adaptable and expansive you can explore every popular roleplaying genre, from classic fantasy style campaigns, to modern day detective thrillers, and even to a far off sci-fi future, Genesys doesn’t fit into any one genre of roleplaying, and instead invites players to craft their own stories with unparalleled freedom.

Saturday GENESYS

I (37m) am looking for players based in Luxembourg for a regular Saturday session. System: Genesys Setting: TBD, but I have several options, one of which is (my favorite) a zombie apocalypse taking place in Luxembourg! Location: TBD, but it ll be in-person and close to the center Time: TBD, but most probably afternoons In English (a must, unfortunately) Genesys is a collaborative storytelling game where we get to roll lots of dice with strange symbols on them. Math is minimal, and theater of the mind plays a big role in the progression. Experience with RPGs or Genesys is not strictly necessary but welcome. You can expect dark dystopian times mixed in with humorous relief moments.

Hi, I'm James from the UK. I've been playing and GMing tabletop RPGs for a long time, and I enjoy trying different systems rather than sticking with one game. As you can probably tell from my system list, my tastes are pretty broad! I've played or run everything from Savage Worlds and Dragonbane to Alien, The One Ring, Star Wars, PbtA games, Blades in the Dark and plenty of others. I'm especially interested in Outgunned right now. I enjoy games where the players actually roleplay with each other rather than everything going through the GM. I like character interaction, collaborative storytelling and giving everyone their chance in the spotlight. Combat is great too, especially when it's exciting and has some narrative weight behind it. As a GM, I'm not interested in trying to beat the players. I want to give them situations to interact with, see what they come up with and make their characters look cool while still giving them meaningful challenges. As a player, I bring the same attitude: work with the group, support other people's moments, and help move things forward. I'm UK-based and mainly play online using Foundry VTT and Discord. My availability varies depending on the game, but I'm generally looking for UK/European evening times. I'm also happy playing with people who are completely new to a system. I don't expect everyone to know every rule before we start, especially considering half the fun for me is discovering games I haven't played before.

RYUKENTUKEN
Hi, my nickname is Ryukentuken, but just call me Ryu. I have played ttrpg for over 8 years (as a player😅) and have tested a lot of different systems myself. As a player i love character development, communication within party and overall experience of being a part of the story. As a GM i love setting up everything for the game (creating playlists, writing down the notes for the next session, etc.) and worldbuilding, even though i have little experience in this. Have a great day!
