Howdy! My name is Tam/Ash (31M) and Forever DM, but this time I'm looking to hop back into the role of a Player... specifically to channel a bit of Daggerheart as it holds my key interest at the moment :) I've been playing TTRPGs since I was a teenager started off with 4E and moved onto Pathfinder and eventually back around to D&D as mostly a DM for the next couple years. I really enjoy writing, art, and monologuing on long drives to the grocery store at night just to retain my roleplaying edge. Homebrew is fantastic, I mostly look for that specifically in games as I wanted to join a world that is unique to the DM and learn about all their machinations.

Hello adventurers! We are currently over 30 members on a discord server that started as a newbie friendly tutorial group. The server is beginner-friendly, but we also welcome more experienced players. We focus on learning the basics, improving roleplay, and most importantly, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment. I’m currently on GMT+2, and my sessions usually run in the evenings, around 19:00–20:00 until 23:00-00:00 local time. But there are other people on different time zones to play with! iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

"Hello there!" I don't use my char sheet only as a stat block. I build a personality and live it. If I play a bard paladin, that thing sings SABATON. Martials can engage with the environment via bonking and bonking bonking alone. That is why I'm a wizard. Power builds are for noobs, I'm here to have fun. I have a spellbook for different applications of shape water, mold earth, prestidigitation. When I play, I remove rooftiles to sneak in between them. Opponents on grease got pushed under tables and chairs. When they try to stand up breakdancing starts. I nerd out and encourage everyone to do the same. As a DM you get to fight on rooftops, underwater, runaway carriages chased by cavalry in the middle of the city. Everyone would get a tavern brawl so chairs and tables will fly! There is allways verticality. Can allways jump down from 2nd floor to the first to get away, my maps are just built like that. The NPC I make... I love to mess them up mid session. They aren't just there for your interactions. They live, breathe. Sith is allways around. Everything is messy, everything is chaotic. If you can do it, the NPC can do it - just not unfairly.

Hello! I'm Amanda, I've played d&d 5e for a couple of years - one as a wizard and one as a druid. Looking for 18+ (21+ even better), lgbtq+ friendly groups. I'm in the EST timezone. Friday evenings and Sundays are my best times, possibly Monday, Thursday, or Saturday evenings. Casual player here hoping to have fun and maybe make some friends along the way. I love spellcasters and really want to play either a wizard or sorcerer as my next character. Class and race ultimately would be determined based on campaign and version of D&D. I'm looking for a good mix of roleplay/exploration/combat; I really enjoy the rp aspect and having a fun storyline to follow as well as the flow of combat. Being able to roll my physical dice is a must, there's something really satisfying about it. I can promise I'm not looking to dice cheat or anything. I started out with an in person group and due to that I get a lot of satisfaction from actually rolling my own dice vs clicking a button. I also collect dice that match each character - my first character had a few sets of purple-themed dice, my next character had dice themed around her being a circle of wildfire druid (plant dice, fire dice, and green dice). I plan on that continuing with my next character. I'm really wanting to play in the standard d&d high fantasy setting (nothing space, mech, etc). Homebrew campaigns only, I'm not wanting to play one of the premade campaigns like Descent into Avernus. I do also have a character idea! I'm not set on playing her, and the idea is setting and starting-level dependent. But basically: A character who starts off down the path of a paladin or cleric, but realizes magic is her calling instead. The reason she started as a paladin or cleric would be worked into the setting, but originally the idea was that she was a cultist who fully believed in that cult. Until she became disillusioned and saw through for what was really going on. After fleeing the cult (did she help take it down?), she wanted to atone and become a paladin or cleric to fight those in power in cults throughout the land - and then found magic was her calling in that fight instead. Functionally, starting with a level in paladin or cleric then multiclassing into wizard or sorcerer.

I’ve played official modules and hombrewed campaigns.I like playing rogues and fighters the most, I used to play only spellcasters but have since branched out. Greetings! My name is Martin, 30 years old, born and raised in Germany, although I had a few international stints in London (UK) and New Zealand. Campaign: I work two shifts in a weekly rhythm. So I am looking for either: A bi-weekly campaign during the work week, starting earliest 3pm (CET) Or on saturdays/sundays starting around the same time (though I can be flexible on the weekends) What I look for in a campaign is a good mix of roleplay and exploration of (ideally) homebrewed worlds. I love to get into the weeds of how religions formed, how societes interact with eachother and how the literal mechanics of arcana work in your world. I love to explore and get to know mysteries and happenings in an actual world that I can immerse myself into. I think combat should be a mechanic to get to know your characters mechanics as well as storytelling tools to further a plot or a characters ambitions. I do not like to combat every session but I would rather have 3-4 sessions without it and then hunger for it to beat up some baddies (or allies, if they misbehave). Players: I want my fellow players to immerse themselves in their characters and be able to play a role that they encompass in the party. I do not like too many OOC jokes or banter, although of course thats part of having fun with the fellow humans that inhabit characters. I also want my companions to be able to step out of their personal comfort zone and explore the ambigious morals of a characters journey in a world where there isn't necessarily a right or wrong, but a spectrum of choices. I also appreciate if my partners in crime push my characters decisions and beliefs to the brink of one might call dangerous. I am also always up for some 1 on 1 time with the characters if they want to talk IC (either in chat or in session) to explore their characters feelings. DM: Although a big influence on my tabletop journey has been informed by Critical Role and other actual plays, I know rarely anybody is a Matthew Mercer or Brennan Lee Mulligan. But I appreciate a slower pace although a bigger narrative is also appreciated, if it's well thought out and not too flat. Generally I appreciate a mix of narrative driven urgency, sprinkled with instances of Sandbox, where characters can explore their personal goals/beliefs/revenge fantasies. If you have any question on what my favourite media are that inspire a lot of my characters choices, or what my personal highlight of a sessions was, I will accomodate you! I'm 34M in Bournemouth UK and over the last 5 years I've run a multi year 5e campaign as DM and am now running another with 5.5e, me and my players only get to play on Fridays or Saturdays that work for all of us which can be a struggle sometimes but I need more dice rolling in my life! To fix that, i'm looking for stuff i haven't played before. i'm particularly interested in Shadowdark and other OSR games, right now, and also a cool cyberpunk game (the setting, though i will totally also try Cyberpunk, the RPG). i have a lot of experience playing all kinds of systems, but mostly DnD, Pathfinder 2e, and PbtA games. i have a lot of time on my hands, particularly on weekday mornings (CET). i'm not unwilling to DM, but i really only have experience with prepared campaigns, so far, so i'm still mostly a beginner.

I’ve been gaming a long time. By 15 (in 1995) I was a Games Rep, running demos at conventions. I love TTRPGs, whether player or GM. I just want a table that actually plays. System-wise, I like indie and old-school games, with enough crunch that every character and build feels mechanically unique and satisfying. That said, I’ll play narrative systems too. I care less about the label and more about whether the game does what it claims it does. Tone-wise, I think the best games have a healthy mix of insane hilarity, fantastical impossibility, and the horrors of reality. Just enough to make it feel real before it gets unreal. If it’s all comedy, it’s weightless. If it’s all grim, it’s depressing. I want the mix, on purpose. I’m a professional fiction writer with decades of experience.
