Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters fun for the other players as well as the GM. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. I'm not adverse to long sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. Themes: I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I haven't played much for two or three years, so I'll need a bit of help getting back up to speed. I know nothing about 5e 2024 rule changes. I'm generally a quick study and willing to learn anything new. I'd prefer a DnD 5e 2014 game, but would be willing to learn 2024 and I do have some experience with PF2e. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. My schedule is fairly open, so I'm easy to accommodate. My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours. My Setup: I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain. I don't have a web cam. Objective: I'm looking forward to meeting new people, making new online friends and either joining a fresh campaign or fitting in to one already in progress. Hello there! I am a vetern M20+ player with some experience in pathfinder 1e. and I am looking for more pathfinder games to join. In terms of overral pathfinder experience, I played in one normal pathfinder game, one game using mythical power, and one using pathfinder spheres of power. So I can play any game of pathfinder using those, I am mostly interrest in using spheres of power, but its not mandatory; I can play without it. For time: my timezone is gmt-3 and the days I can play are friday(at night) saturday sunday I can use both roll20 and foundry, however I have yet to play pathfinder 1e using foundry, my pathfinder games were on roll20 thanks for reading.

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hello I'd be interested in joining a group if possible. I am available Mon-sun starting at 7pm est except wed. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. Hello! I'm Stellar, I'm in my early 20s and I've been playing DnD for two and a half years now with two campaigns under my belt. Because the most recent one ended some time ago, I'm looking for a new table to join. I have a preference for vanilla 5e (2014) rulesets but I don't mind homebrew rules as long as they aren't too much of a hassle to learn. As for settings, official or homebrew is fine as well (so long as it doesn't purposefully remove races for no good reason). I like campaigns that focus on plotlines that involve the characters' backstories and roleplaying, with a preference for high fantasy or medieval fantasy worlds. As for availability, I am currently free pretty much everyday though it may change after the summer but I'll let you know when it happens. (I've toned down the default sphinx stats to make her a fair challenge. She is essentially a cat shaped human who doesn't want to fly during combat because that makes you a big target and calls attention to you. She prefers not existing.)

Hello! My name is Jay, and I am an 18y/o student looking for DMs/GMs running new one-shots/full campaigns who might have me as a player at their (online or in-person) table! I have been interested in and reading up on D&D (specifically 5E and 5.5E) for about two-and-a-half years now, but have never been able to play an actual game with a group, so I am a beginner. But, I am also a fast-learner who can pick up on your playing style (and homebrew rules/mechanics, if you're using any) quickly. I can play in both online campaigns and at IRL tables (I am located in the southern Bay Area, CA, near Gilroy). My schedule, both online and in-person, is extremely flexible, and I am willing to play during odd hours when playing in online campaigns (for example, early morning or the middle of the night), and I am totally down with online international games with players/DMs/GMs located in different countries/continents. I can use and adapt to whatever platform the DM/GM prefers to use to host games. I love detailed note-taking and would love to take on that responsibility at your table. My favorite main class to play is Paladin (I have a male, Lawful-Good archetype, Oath of Devotion Paladin who I have been dying to roleplay as in a game, but I also have a few other characters/character ideas and am totally willing to change his lore/character for the theme of your campaign or create a whole new one for it). I am both roleplay and combat oriented and will be entirely happy focusing more on the worldbuilding/RP or grinding with your table in more dungeon-crawler-like gameplay. However, I do prefer games with a balance of both. Some of my all-time favorite high fantasy medias are (video games:) The Elder Scross series (particularly Skyrim, but my second and third favorites are Morrowind and Oblivion, including its remaster), Elden Ring, Dark Souls I, II, & III, Baldur's Gate I, II, and III, (books/movies:) The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings, and The Legend of Drizzt (I am on book two of The Icewind Dale trilogy and have read The Dark Elf trilogy). I write a lot of fantasy-based stories in my spare time, and have been honing in my storytelling skills for a handful of years now. I love knights and medieval-based fantasy, but easily fall in love with all sorts of stories and worlds. I love both light and fun RP and the dark, gritty stuff. I get along with a variety of players/people and am eager to make friends in the D&D community/possibly find a campaign/one-shot to play in. I hope you consider me for your table!

I adore romance and all of my characters are queer. I prefer playing male characters and I am a huge advocate for flavoring and creativity (as well as romantic plotlines for my characters). I'm okay with any genre, so long as it *does* allow for good character arcs. I'm chill with any topic as long as it's not meant to be directly harmful. I've only ever played dnd but I'm open to learning other systems. Due to being employed and other events, I am unavailable Sunday and Friday nights, so I'm available Saturday and weekdays. The earliest I can start is 7:30 pm EST on any day and the latest I can play is whenever the session happens to end, preferably 12am - 1am EST. I have no life overall so I'll be available pretty much every session.

While I love all aspects of DND - role play, exploring and combat - I find my favourite games are those that more or less balanced between the three. Heyo, I'm Bo, 30 and queer. Been playing DND since 2019 ish, haven't had the chance to explore other systems and DND somehow always seems the easiest to find a game for. I only recently decided to try voice games as I've been playing through live text usually. Critical Role is what got me into dnd and rpg stuff but I've been loving Bards of New York lately, and when I say lately it's been over a year of constantly watching their stuff. Other than that I love Witcher, Dragon Age, Skyrim obviously, fantasy is my main genre I think, though I like watching sci fi movies and shows. Bioshock Infinite is another game I love, and I love horror media, just not a fan of slashers and very gore focused things, which is why Mike Flanagan's stuff is my favorite but also I say that and yet zombie media is also something I enjoy so lmao. I usually prefer RP over combat but I figured combat can be very useful to test your creativity and problem solving as well, just not looking to solely be focused on that. I'm in the gmt+2 timezone, usually prefer evening games in my time and currently Saturday evenings are occupied by me DM-ing. I would also like to add that I have a pretty old laptop and I'm pretty sure most if not all VTTs just don't work on it, if that's a must for games. Honestly, I'm not sure what to write here, as the only thing I'm looking for in the game is to have fun and hopefully avoid shouting over other players. I'm perfectly fine with most themes. I'm usually rather quiet at the table as I prefer supporting roles... a guy with weird tricks and skills that other people rarely take. I enjoy both combat and good RP. As far as experience goes... We are a beginner-friendly D&D Discord community with over 50 members, originally started as a small helping/tutorial server for new players who wanted to get into D&D without having to pay for anything. The server is still very welcoming to beginners, but experienced players are also invited, especially if you enjoy roleplay, storytelling, helping newer players learn the game, or even running your own sessions. At the moment, we have a core group of active members, with people playing or interacting almost daily. We currently run two main types of games: 1. Adventurers Guild / West Marches-inspired one-shots This is our open-table system. I created an Adventurers Guild that posts bounties, missions, and one-shot adventures. Players can join when they are available, without needing to commit to a long campaign from the start. These games mostly use D&D 5e 2024 rules, but 2014 content and homebrew may also be allowed, depending on the DM. 2. Classic homebrew campaigns Other members can also become DMs, post their own campaign ideas, gather 4–6 players, and run their own homebrew campaign in their own channel. This can be in our shared universe or in a completely separate custom setting. My personal DM style is more focused on roleplay, story, atmosphere, and fun character moments rather than strict rules or overly complicated combat. I am very open to helping new players learn and giving people a relaxed space to try D&D. Most of my sessions are usually in the evening, around 19:00–20:00 until 23:00–00:00 GMT+2, but we also have people from different time zones, so other games may happen at different hours depending on the DM and group. We are also open to people interested in becoming Dungeon Masters.
