Hiya, I go by Fenris or Fen and am a TTRPG veteran of roundabout 26 years, having started in my early teens and been the forever GM for a number of years, before moving on to become a player. I recently finished a PF2E campaign with an international group and am looking forward to move on to new horizons more set in a bright and exciting future. I am flexible regarding the day, being available for evening session from 18:00 to 18:30 my time onwards during Mondays to Fridays and basically fully flexible when it comes to the weekends. Also let me be very frank because I keep getting messages about this: I AM NOT INTERESTED IN D&D! Playstyle I am a person who both enjoys engaging roleplaying, interactions between the characters and with the world at large. To me a good game has a healthy mix of both and ideally also mixes them. So I want to roll the dice when appropriate, but I'm a bit tired of hearing 'I roll to attack' and a simple 'you hit'. Why not make it 'I bring my sword to bear against the owlbear, parry it's right claw swiping for me while side-stepping and try to cut it across it's leg in retaliation'? This gives the GM much more to play without without having to wrack their brain how to make it an exciting moment for everyone. Same goes for RP: You can try to hide the need to roll something to see, whether you succeed or not, by describing it creatively. I could say 'I want to roll Diplomacy to convince the lizardman warrior, that we come in peace' or I could say 'Putting on an open, peaceful body language, showing he is not armed, <character name> speaks clearly and softly in a diplomatic tone "We mean no harm. Just want to talk."' To me RP and rules are not two separate sides of a medallion - they can work beautifully hand in hand to weave a story within a fair ruleset, that gives everyone equal chances. Hence I also play the character idea and role within the party. I don't min-max, I work to represent the character idea both in RP and in the build. What's the character idea of a stoic and stalwart defender worth, if it isn't backed up by a build optimized towards taking the brunt of the enemies attacks? How can I play a hot-shot pilot, if his confident and assured stance isn't backed up by great skill with piloting and tendancy towards pulling stunts and a few aces up his sleeves? Experience I've started out with one of the more complex games to play 26 years ago: Shadowrun. Very crunchy, figuring out rolls was an effort and more often than not forgoing too complex rules for the rule of cool. From there I moved on to a myriad of systems - both mainstream and not. To name a few: Legend of the Five Rings, King Arthur Pendragon, D&D 5E (2014), Stafinder 1E, Stars Without Number, Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K FFG (Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and Only War), Star Wars Edge of the Empire, The Dark Eye (DSA), A Song of Ice and Fire RPG, Pathfinder 2E and a quick dip into Fallout 2d20, as well as maybe some I can't even remember from the get-go right now. I've been on both sides of the table in those years, being both a GM and a player on- and offline. But I moved on from GMing for the most part, as I just don't have the capacity for additional responsibility in my life right now, besides showing up in time and having a good time with some fellow enjoyers of cooperative rules-based storytelling ;) Bio Let's start with the basic facts: 39 years old male (he/him) from Germany. Near-native level of fluency in both written and spoken English due to early exposure to English at around age 4 to 5 and being active in the daily usage of English thanks to the internet. I've played D&D constantly for about 7 (almost 8) years, and I've made it the only thing I really do outside of school and work and such. I really enjoy D&D, not particularly because of the combat or roleplay, but more so because of the pure creativity and lore in campaigns. It sparks my mind in ways I can't usually which is one of the reasons for me enjoying it so much. I do still enjoy combat and roleplay a lot though, but I might struggle to get into my characters voice sometimes. In terms of what I like to play, I dabble in a little bit of everything. I've played all the way from homebrew campaigns, to roleplay campaigns, to official campaigns, all the way to oneshots. I've played every genre immaginable ranging from high-fantasy, low-fantasy, sci-fi, historical, modern, horror, and puzzle.

Hey! It's been a long time since I've played D&D and I'm looking to get back into it with a group who is laid back and doesn't mind someone with a partial grasp of the (5e) ruleset. I'm interested in a longer campaign, starting at or close to level 1, to be able to grow through. iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

I also have read a large amount of books for other rpgs including mask a new generation, vampire the requiem, mutants and masterminds 2e, the older world of darkness editions, marvel heroic rpg, and more. I am anxious with new people, but once I learn the group vibe I play my charecters with joy and enthusiasm. I’ve been playing and DMing since 2020 and have played through three long campaigns. I’ve started writing my own setting intended for PF2e, but after running a combat test with some friends, I realized I need more practical experience as a player before I try to seriously run the system myself. I like character-driven games where the party has reasons to work together, but I also enjoy engaging combat where choices matter. Logistically, I’m currently out of work, so my schedule is fairly open right now. If I get a job, I should still have weekends available. I am 47 male that didn't start playing D&D until 11 years ago. I have played and DMed 3.5. also played SW5E, SW Edge of Empire and Transformers RPG. Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that aren't all about fart jokes.. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters fun for the other players as well as the GM. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. I'm not adverse to long sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. Experience: I haven't played for two or three years, so I'll need a bit of help getting back up to speed. I know nothing about 5e 2024 rule changes. I'm generally a quick study and willing to learn anything new. I'd prefer a DnD 5e 2014 game, but would be willing to learn 2024 and I do have some experience with PF2e. I'd also be interested in playing Starfinder 2e as a completely new player. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. Hello. I have been playing D&D 5e for 2 years, looking for a weekly game whether in 5e or 5.5e. Preferably evenings in the weekends, as I am available after 6 PM EST. Definitely can commit to a consistent weekly game night provided that if 1) IRL does not throw a wrench my way or 2) game is canceled. I enjoy a game where it is combat focused, in no way I am against roleplaying, could mix it up between the two. I am okay with character death, and games whether its homebrew, or official or games converted from different modules. My favorite class to play is the fighter and my go to favorite is the cavalier, a classic knight on horse subclass that defends his party and lives by his own code.

Over a decade plus of playing RPGs but not nearly enough as I'd have liked. I'm east coast based and work regular work hours, but down to fit my schedule with whatever works best with a group and don't mind varying timezones! Either weekly, bi-weekly, or whatever the best schedule fits for a group and I make it a point to always show up for each session unless something happens (I hate giving late notice). I'm open to many systems and don't mind either a focus on roleplay or combat, even if I do lean towards more roleplay! I only ever played it with my family a hand full of times. However, I knew that type of game called to me always. I am mostly playing video games than Board games sadly these days. I am trying to get back into Board games more than video games however. I have very poor social skills and don't pick up on social cues very well and board games especially ones that forces people to interact for a common goal really help me. I also have PTSD and some other mental disabilities. I try to not let these hinder me but they do sadly. Very sorry for this. I am flexible when it comes to board games. Hello! I'm trying to get into DnD as a completely new player and I've never played it before. I've watched multiple campaignes on YouTube and ever since been wanting to play my own long, homebrew session of one. I've seen that as long as the DM is chill and willing to work with their players they'd allow you to use subclasses that aren't typically in DnD as a option to pick so I really wanna be a Entomancer. It's currently the only class I've thought of playing and the only one I have ideas for, I believe the main class for Entomancer would be a Druid so I'd be willing to fill in and be either a healing type druid or a damage type as those are the only things I've really looked into to make my class all the more real feeling. I've played some BG3 and Divinity 2 so I have a understanding of how to play a turn based game that has limited uses on certain spells and so forth. On the contrary, I've never actually played the tabletop or online version of DnD so I'd be completely in the dark for a majority of how it works.

It’s a harsh, often hypocritical kind of justice — one rooted in vengeance. To Silas, those who take lives deserve to suffer, for a life taken is forfeiting your own. It’s a worldview riddled with flaws, but he believes it’s a necessary evil to protect the innocent. It’s all shaped by a single tragedy; Jodie." Silas has his own mind palace where he visualises his evidence. He's cold and calculated and leaves little room for error. However, his mind is fragile, and struggles to keep going unless given a purpose. That purpose is hunting down Jodie's killer. He has a background in the NCPD where he learned to be covert and track people down. He has a few acquaintances, such as Zoey, a stylist who doesn't know much about Silas' life but cares deeply for him; and Sidnor, a cop who worked as a newbie under Silas during his time on the force, keeping his identity a secret, even though he doesn't want too. Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 33, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite an hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing and brainstorming with the others.

Currently looking to expand my online Old School Essentials Advanced Fantasy group, but I also enjoy playing mostly OSR games, everything from D&D B/X and AD&D 1st edition, to Mothership and OSE.
