Howdy! My name is Tam/Ash (31M) and Forever DM, but this time I'm looking to hop back into the role of a Player... specifically to channel a bit of Daggerheart as it holds my key interest at the moment :) I've been playing TTRPGs since I was a teenager started off with 4E and moved onto Pathfinder and eventually back around to D&D as mostly a DM for the next couple years. I really enjoy writing, art, and monologuing on long drives to the grocery store at night just to retain my roleplaying edge. Homebrew is fantastic, I mostly look for that specifically in games as I wanted to join a world that is unique to the DM and learn about all their machinations.

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hi, I'm Patchwork. I'm a 20-something geek who enjoys spending his time on various TTRPGs. My previous group fell apart due to scheduling issues, as most do, so I'm here looking for something new! I'm mostly into the roleplaying aspect of tabletop games, I enjoy immersing myself in whatever character and world I'm put into, and bouncing off party hijinks! I usually put a lot of effort and a decent amount of writing into my characters and their backstories, but I usually do that as a creative writing exercise, and never expect a DM to know it front-to-back (I always put a summarization/TL;DR first). But if you do, all the better! In terms of systems and experience with VTTs, you can already see what systems I've looked into/played, and I've gamed a bunch in Roll20 and Foundry, so I'll have no issues navigating either of those VTTs. But if you have something new, I'm always willing to learn! As for the kind of games I'm looking for, I've been playing Fantasy for quite a long time now, and I'm hoping to get into some Sci-fi settings, and trying out systems in that niche. My name is Joshua and my wife's name is Ilaina. We are a married couple parents of two children looking for an online DnD group. We are not too picky about version though it seems like 5e 2024 is best suited for our newbie status. We have some limited experience. A few years back I downloaded digital versions of the rule book and put together a whole world full of religions, gods, factions, cities, supporting characters, villains etc.We played 1 on 1 with me as DM and my wife as a player. However this quickly became unsatisfying. I spent exponentially more hours prepping than we spent playing and my wife being new felt kind of overwhelmed to be essentially making all the decisions on her own. Now we want to get back in. Ideally we would play on weekends but during the week could potentially work too after our older child goes to bed. We really aren't in a position to pay for sessions, and aren't really interested. While we know the effort required to organize these things isn't small we are moreso looking for a group of online friends and paying for games feels counterproductive to that goal. That doesn't mean we wouldn't necessarily be willing to pitch in on any supplies or resources that could improve the game experience for everyone. I'm an adult, but a decently young one, and would prefer to play in a group of a similar age range (18-25). ‼️Important‼️ I have no interest in games that involve the use of generative AI in anyway! I have a decent amount of experience with ttrpgs in general, mainly D&D, but none with the two I'm looking for; Vampire The Masquerade and Lancer (which I recognize have very different vibes XD). For Vtm, I have some rulebooks for V5 and would say I'm decently familiar with it. I've played around with creating a few characters, and have read the books quite throughly, so I don't think I'd need too much help. I just may ask a few questions here and there. For Lancer, well, I have the rulebook. I've started to read it, but I haven't gotten that far. Joining a game would definitely encourage me to read more though, and I'd probably be able to finish it before the first session (I'm a pretty fast reader). Rulebook aside, I do have a little bit of knowledge about the rules, since I've been watching people stream it, but I'll certainly need a decent amount of help- even after I finish reading the book. My schedule is both free and a mess. I'm in other games; One every other Thursday, and another on Mondays and Saturdays. Aside from my games, I'm available pretty much any time after noon est, except for Fridays, when I won't be available until evenings (after 5pm). I'm not new to role-playing: I've had some experience with ADND, ADND2e, DND5e2014, Shadowrun, PF1e, PF2e, Shadowdark. I'm especially interested in experiencing FATE, Shadowdark, OSR, Freebooters, but open to most systems. I don't just want to crunch numbers or kill kill kill. I do like a bit of killing as much as the next guy (depending on the next guy), but maybe there are other options we could try. I like tables where everyone is at least trying to roleplay, even if it doesn't come that naturally. Personally, I enjoy voicing my characters. I do NOT like getting bogged down by rules: I want to spend time _role-playing_, not wrestling with mechanics. -So it's really helpful when the game-master either knows the relevant rules or has mastered the art of winging it. I do enjoy Tolkienesque fantasy worlds quite a bit, but could also enjoy other genres such as science fiction / shadowrun / steampunk / post-apocalypse and more. I'm completely fine with a very slow leveling curve: delayed rewards are more meaningful. I haven't done online roleplaying before, but I'm quite computer-literate and I'm confident I can get my system set up well in advance of play-time. I appreciate Japanese culture and language, so bonus points if you do too. I'm over 50 years old, if that matters. I'm left-wing but have never brought that to a gaming table. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

Been playing 5th edition since 2015 so Ive got a fair number of years under my belt, from large servers with multiple gms to several campaigns that lasted up to a year. Hell I've even dabbled in pathfinder and joined a server that has made me realize math is way to damn prevalent in these games lmao.

Heya, all! I know this is a bit of a longshot, but I have a FIERCE hankering for some World of Darkness of just about any flavor. New, Old, Chronicles of, it's a big wide World of Darkness and I'm looking to play any game in any edition/rendition of the setting. I have twenty years of off-and-on TTRPG and roleplay experience and have played two games across two different versions of Vampire (technically three, but one never left the "design characters" stage). I'm a huge fan of narrative games of deeply-woven politics and manipulation and welcome the opportunity to bring my sensibilities to your table. Hello! I'm Amanda, I've played d&d 5e for a couple of years - one as a wizard and one as a druid. Looking for 18+ (21+ even better), lgbtq+ friendly groups. I'm in the EST timezone. Friday evenings and Sundays are my best times, possibly Monday, Thursday, or Saturday evenings. Casual player here hoping to have fun and maybe make some friends along the way. I love spellcasters and really want to play either a wizard or sorcerer as my next character. Class and race ultimately would be determined based on campaign and version of D&D. I'm looking for a good mix of roleplay/exploration/combat; I really enjoy the rp aspect and having a fun storyline to follow as well as the flow of combat. Being able to roll my physical dice is a must, there's something really satisfying about it. I can promise I'm not looking to dice cheat or anything. I started out with an in person group and due to that I get a lot of satisfaction from actually rolling my own dice vs clicking a button. I also collect dice that match each character - my first character had a few sets of purple-themed dice, my next character had dice themed around her being a circle of wildfire druid (plant dice, fire dice, and green dice). I plan on that continuing with my next character. I'm really wanting to play in the standard d&d high fantasy setting (nothing space, mech, etc). Homebrew campaigns only, I'm not wanting to play one of the premade campaigns like Descent into Avernus. I do also have a character idea! I'm not set on playing her, and the idea is setting and starting-level dependent. But basically: A character who starts off down the path of a paladin or cleric, but realizes magic is her calling instead. The reason she started as a paladin or cleric would be worked into the setting, but originally the idea was that she was a cultist who fully believed in that cult. Until she became disillusioned and saw through for what was really going on. After fleeing the cult (did she help take it down?), she wanted to atone and become a paladin or cleric to fight those in power in cults throughout the land - and then found magic was her calling in that fight instead. Functionally, starting with a level in paladin or cleric then multiclassing into wizard or sorcerer.
