Yes, you heard that right. It was a lot and given a second chance to do it different, we would have. I enjoy characters that challenge me, real consequences for character actions, a world that doesn't stop when the players do. A little more about me; because of my job, I am usually only available for games that start after 8 PM during weekdays—I am far more available on the weekends all day. I write on the side (small projects), currently am a member of a thriving West Marches server where I've been an active participant for over a year. I'm looking for a group between 4-5 players and a DM with a consistent meeting schedule, either weekly or bi-weekly. I have played D&D 5e, 5.5, some Daggerheart, Savage Worlds, and a homebrew system based for a variant setting in the Fallout universe.

Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Hi there! I'm a mature player looking for a game with people who love the comraderie of roleplay. I enjoy a game that is heavy RP balanced with combat, problem solving, political intrigue, travel, survival or whatever aspects the GM wants to put our merry band up against. I'm in your world now. Play Style: I'm serious about having fun. I'm low maintenance and I fit well into most groups that are focused on the campaign at hand. I'm a stickler about showing up on time to every session. I put a good effort into making my characters fun for the other players as well as the GM. I'm not much of a min/maxer. I don't know the powerful builds as I tend to add to my characters in a manner consistent with their back story. I write modest back stories and try to include multiple hooks that the GM might choose to use somewhere along the road. I prefer to see a good story or interesting outcome rather than fuss over rules. I tend to get in character and stay in character for an entire session. I'm not adverse to long sessions, provided we have appropriate intermissions. Themes: I'm less interested in horror, more interested in high fantasy settings. Experience: I haven't played much for two or three years, so I'll need a bit of help getting back up to speed. I know nothing about 5e 2024 rule changes. I'm generally a quick study and willing to learn anything new. I'd prefer a DnD 5e 2014 game, but would be willing to learn 2024 and I do have some experience with PF2e. I have GMed homebrews in 5e on several occasions, but my first choice is to participate as a member of the party. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I have participated in past games using Roll20 and DndBeyond. I have fairly in depth knowlege of the inner workings of FVTTv12/13. Prefered Times: I'm in Ontario Canada (UTC-4) and would prefer games that were afternoons or evenings local time. North American games or evening UK/EU games can fit my schedule nicely. My schedule is fairly open, so I'm easy to accommodate. My ideal schedule would be a weekly game of at least 3-4 hours. My Setup: I have a nice quiet office and professional studio quality audio chain. I don't have a web cam. hello i am pretty well versed in the dnd 5e ruleset, other games i'm willing to learn and pick up quickly. Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information (keeping notes) and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come in with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

High fantasy settings are my favorite. Rather than bringing a pre-made character to every campaign, I prefer creating one after learning about the setting. I enjoy building someone who naturally fits the world, themes, and party instead of trying to force an existing concept into the story. As a player, I believe I am reliable and respectful. Hello I'd be interested in joining a group if possible. I am available Mon-sun starting at 7pm est except wed. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. I do prefer to focus more on the game than talking outside of game.

For Vtm, I have some rulebooks for V5 and would say I'm decently familiar with it. I've played around with creating a few characters, and have read the books quite throughly, so I don't think I'd need too much help. I just may ask a few questions here and there. For Lancer, well, I have the rulebook. I've started to read it, but I haven't gotten that far. Joining a game would definitely encourage me to read more though, and I'd probably be able to finish it before the first session (I'm a pretty fast reader). The majority of my experience lies in D&D 5e and 5.5e, both as a player and as a GM, but I also have some experience in Pathfinder 2e, LANCER, and other miscellaneous systems. I am always open to try out new systems! The main thing I look for in a game is ample opportunities to roleplay, both with my fellow players and with the game setting. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

I'm Bi and Trans, just to get that out up front. I consider myself an immersion-first kind of player, I like to make my decisions in character with the same thought process my characters would if possible. Not to say that I'm not "above" superceding my characters' "own" decision if needed, but that's how I like to play when convenient. I tend to like to play as characters that I've conceptualized beforehand, but deliberately make a bit hollow initially so that I can customize them to better fit within any campaign I might find myself joining.

I've always got to have a voice for my character, I do sound effects, I'm down to play in person, over voice chat or on video (I love when people can see my expressions) I can DM if I get a good group together but I've been somewhat stuck as a forever DM for the last few years.

I like roleplay heavy games, but having a fight is also good. I tend to homebrew stuff, because any game engine is just an invitation for creativity. Usually play sneaky-snoopy characters, chaos goblins and/or demons like Tyranny (my favorite!).

Hello, I've been playing D&D and other TTRPGs for about 20 years starting with D&D 3.5e. I played 4e for a few years and then played 5th Edition when it released and have played it many times since. I worked at a D&D summer camp for 4 years as a councelor and GM for kids ages 8-13 playing 3.5e for the first year and 5e for the last 3. I have also run many one shots and short adventures for my friends. Because of a combination of getting bored of the system and not liking the business practices of Hasbro and Wizards I stopped playing D&D 5e last year and I'm looking to learn some new systems. I've run a couple one shots in Cyberpunk Red and Tenra Bansho Zero and ran a short campaing for my friends in a homebrew system of my own loosely based on the webseries Epithet Erased, but other than that have been a D&D forever GM for most of my life. Hello! My name is Jay, and I am an 18y/o student looking for DMs/GMs running new one-shots/full campaigns who might have me as a player at their (online or in-person) table! I have been interested in and reading up on D&D (specifically 5E and 5.5E) for about two-and-a-half years now, but have never been able to play an actual game with a group, so I am a beginner. But, I am also a fast-learner who can pick up on your playing style (and homebrew rules/mechanics, if you're using any) quickly. I can play in both online campaigns and at IRL tables (I am located in the southern Bay Area, CA, near Gilroy). My schedule, both online and in-person, is extremely flexible, and I am willing to play during odd hours when playing in online campaigns (for example, early morning or the middle of the night), and I am totally down with online international games with players/DMs/GMs located in different countries/continents. I can use and adapt to whatever platform the DM/GM prefers to use to host games. I love detailed note-taking and would love to take on that responsibility at your table. My favorite main class to play is Paladin (I have a male, Lawful-Good archetype, Oath of Devotion Paladin who I have been dying to roleplay as in a game, but I also have a few other characters/character ideas and am totally willing to change his lore/character for the theme of your campaign or create a whole new one for it). I am both roleplay and combat oriented and will be entirely happy focusing more on the worldbuilding/RP or grinding with your table in more dungeon-crawler-like gameplay. However, I do prefer games with a balance of both. Some of my all-time favorite high fantasy medias are (video games:) The Elder Scross series (particularly Skyrim, but my second and third favorites are Morrowind and Oblivion, including its remaster), Elden Ring, Dark Souls I, II, & III, Baldur's Gate I, II, and III, (books/movies:) The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings, and The Legend of Drizzt (I am on book two of The Icewind Dale trilogy and have read The Dark Elf trilogy). Heyo, I'm Bo, 30 and queer. Been playing DND since 2019 ish, haven't had the chance to explore other systems and DND somehow always seems the easiest to find a game for. I only recently decided to try voice games as I've been playing through live text usually. Critical Role is what got me into dnd and rpg stuff but I've been loving Bards of New York lately, and when I say lately it's been over a year of constantly watching their stuff. Other than that I love Witcher, Dragon Age, Skyrim obviously, fantasy is my main genre I think, though I like watching sci fi movies and shows. Bioshock Infinite is another game I love, and I love horror media, just not a fan of slashers and very gore focused things, which is why Mike Flanagan's stuff is my favorite but also I say that and yet zombie media is also something I enjoy so lmao. I usually prefer RP over combat but I figured combat can be very useful to test your creativity and problem solving as well, just not looking to solely be focused on that. I'm in the gmt+2 timezone, usually prefer evening games in my time and currently Saturday evenings are occupied by me DM-ing. I would also like to add that I have a pretty old laptop and I'm pretty sure most if not all VTTs just don't work on it, if that's a must for games. Ukrainian who somewhat recently moved to Sweden so don't expect perfect Swedish from me. Don't have too much experience with TTRPGs but am willing to learn. Played a ton of BG3 and a few custom Text RPGs before so can play by post. To be honest just trying to meet new people :)
