Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. I enjoy character-driven storytelling, party relationships, meaningful combat, exploration, mystery, downtime, and emotional moments that feel earned rather than forced. I like games that are sincere without being too serious, and funny without becoming constant jokes or bits. Consent and boundaries are important to me. Heavy themes, major trauma themes, intense character conflict, PvP, romance/flirting, sexual content, or anything that could strongly affect another player’s character should be discussed first. Hello, I've been playing D&D and other TTRPGs for about 20 years starting with D&D 3.5e. I played 4e for a few years and then played 5th Edition when it released and have played it many times since. I worked at a D&D summer camp for 4 years as a councelor and GM for kids ages 8-13 playing 3.5e for the first year and 5e for the last 3. I have also run many one shots and short adventures for my friends. Because of a combination of getting bored of the system and not liking the business practices of Hasbro and Wizards I stopped playing D&D 5e last year and I'm looking to learn some new systems. I've run a couple one shots in Cyberpunk Red and Tenra Bansho Zero and ran a short campaing for my friends in a homebrew system of my own loosely based on the webseries Epithet Erased, but other than that have been a D&D forever GM for most of my life. As a player i like to make my characters to fit as someone from the dm's world and to best roleplay out with the party without causing conflict. i am expierenced with a good amount of different tabletop systems(5e,world of darkness,all flesh must be eaten,good bit of pathfinder) i enjoy world building and having an impact in a dm's world. the only thing i dislike in a game is minmaxers for the most part.

I have a few oneshots behind me and one campaign, otherwise I was the player. Still some rules are vague to me so I apologise forward if I get smth wrong. Also I played mostly online except this year where I DMed in person but on a blackboard. I would be available mostly on weekends or during week after 19pm every day. I love homebrew content, for races like the Demi-dragon homebrew book, items or monsters. I am a real dragon lover btw. I used dnd beyond for monster characters but for the campaigns online I used Owlbear.

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

Hello! I'm Laura. After years of thinking "oh, I'd love to try to play D&D", a few weeks ago I took the plunge and I bought myself the DMG, MM and PHB, and set up my very first campaign. So far, I've DMd 3 sessions and I've loved every second of it. I'm of course still very green, but I really enjoy D&D very much. This game is so addictive! I prefer role playing to combat, even though I really like combat too! I live in Paris, so a schedule that'd be great is one that allows me to play in the evening during the week (available after 19:00 GMT+2 on Thursday's and Fridays). I'm a super dedicated person, so I'll be very regular with my hours. I would love a weekly game, because I prefer to play in smaller time frames, but more regularly. I'm a woman, and would love to play with a respectful and open minded table! Also, a fun fact about me is that what made me finally take the step to buy all the DnD books was the show "Delicious in Dungeon". forever DM. available: GMT-3 18h-22h Monday to Friday. I've been playing D&D 5e since 2016. I started as a player for 2 weeks, and then became a DM on a whim, forever DM until today. Pathfinder 2E, and Tormenta 20. Both systems are hard to grasp even after sessions of experience, so I prefer not to go with those. Daggerheart is another I got into recently, I'm down to DM for it as well. It looks fun. I'm also fully willing to learn an entirely new system if needed.

Heya, I'm Medea (31f). I've been playing various ttrpgs on and off for more than 15years, and D&D 5e specifically (2014) for about years. My main draw to ttrpgs is the roleplaying aspect, I love creating characters with interesting backstories and plenty of big and small hooks for possible sidequests and personal involvements, and then exploring the setting and campaign through that character's eyes! I'm very flexible about what class and species I end up playing, though rogues and warlocks are my favourites I can comfortably fill pretty much any role a party might need for balance. I love coming up with backstories alongside at least one other player and work out a nice tie-in into the main story of the campaign to make my character really fit with the theme and the party. I also really enjoy combat, especially encounters that feel meaningful to the story and require a little bit of strategy and clever thinking. I also do like exploration, but since I have no sense of direction nor distance and cannot visually imagine things, it can be a bit tough on me and I always work better with (battle-) maps and visual aids. In a D&D group, I really look for a harmonic table, a group of players that is accepting, supportive of each other, and enjoying spending time together. In my opinion, you know a table is solid when the characters a facing conflict amongst each other but the players still work as a team and enjoy playing out the difficulties without animosity. I should probably mention that I'm very asexual and don't enjoy sexism or any sort of sexual content at the table, neither in-game nor outside of it. Finally, there's not too much to tell about myself. I live in Central Europe, I love classic horror movies and all sorts of classic and dark fantasy stories (I'm an especially big fan of the Witcher novels and the older Dragon Age games!), and I've recently been trying to get back into writing again! I can be a bit quiet when I join a new group, but usually that goes away reasonably quickly once I feel welcome! I do have minor audio processing issues, so I may occasionally ask for people to repeat themselves because my brain refuses to take in information sometimes.
