Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror genre. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors, librarians looking for eldritch tomes, and tomb raiding archaeologists. When I GM, I lean towards Rule of Cool, and I favor players who invest creativity in their characters. New to online play, usually do in person, but want to expand my horizons. Any time is a good time to Run/Play! Always down to tell a story with players or create a story with players I have 10+ years of storytelling experience with Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Wraith, Hunter, Shadowrun, D&D and many more! I'm not very familiar with roll20 and demiplane as I've mainly played in person. Though I'm good with Discord! Mind's eye is more my style over battlemaps, hence the lack of knowledge with roll20/demiplane.

I'm a 19-year-old who has been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about six months. Even though I'm still fairly new to the game, I've really enjoyed learning the rules, exploring different roleplaying opportunities, and working with my party to overcome challenges. My favorite class is the Rogue because I enjoy a clever, tactical playstyle. I like using stealth to stay out of danger, scouting ahead for the group, and looking for creative ways to solve problems instead of rushing into every fight. In combat, I try to position myself carefully so I can take advantage of Sneak Attack and deal high damage when the opportunity presents itself. Outside of combat, I enjoy picking locks, disarming traps, and using my character's skills to help the party navigate difficult situations. Although I only have about half a year of experience with D&D, I'm always looking to improve my understanding of the game, develop better teamwork, and create memorable stories with the people I play with. Hey, I'm Matt (or Wayne). I like building characters with actual flaws who make questionable decisions for the sake of a good narrative arc. I tend to get overly invested in fictional worlds, which is probably why I'm here. If you're looking for a player who treats your lore like a casual bedtime story and actually wants to know why the grumpy tavern owner is grumpy, I'm your guy. I'm not really here to crunch numbers into oblivion or argue over combat grid geometry. I'm way more interested in the messy, collaborative storytelling part of things. Think less tactical strike force and more chaotic found family trying to survive the plot. So yeah, if your table leans heavily into deep roleplay, exploring the setting, and letting characters actually talk to each other before things inevitably blow up, we'll probably get along great. My schedule is very flexible except for sleep time.

I've been playing TTRPG's for around 5 years I'm most familiar with D&D 5e I've also played in Avatar Legends(PBTA),Call of Cthulhu, Cypher System, and Lancer(Not a preferred game) As well as in Homebrew systems, which I am open to, as well as other TTRPG's I'm not as familiar with I am quick to catch on and learn be it systems or party/player dynamics I like character roleplay, having the chance to interact with eachother and the world around, so combat is not necessity for me, but I do enjoy it. That being said I find I am less of a fan of full combat games where majority of every single session is combat.

Old enough to have played AD&D 2nd Ed, but not so set in my ways that I don't enjoy D&D 5E. Looking for long-term campaigns and interested to try new systems and genres of game.

Greetings, my name is David and I started playing TTRPGs in 2015. I was introduced to the hobby by a coworker and became instantly infatuated. I played D&D 5E frequently for several years, including DMing for multiple campaigns both pre-written and homebrewed (Curse of Strahd 3 times!), and got to enjoy Pathfinder 1E as a player for a campaign before I started a family and had to slow down. It has now been at least 2 years since I last seriously played and I miss the experience. I've grown weary of D&D 5E as it is all I've really known but have learned a decent amount about Traveller 2E and Call of Cthulhu 7E and would love to try those for the first time, though I'm not against going back to 5E just to be playing again (or trying something completely unfamiliar). My play style is character focused. I love driving the story and making memorable moments not just for myself but for everyone in the group. I favor character decisions over meta or mechanical optimization. In groups I enjoy playing support roles like skill monkeys and build characters with qualities I consider neat but might not be considered the best options. I don't do joke characters and I always make sure I can be useful in some way to the group. I don't want to be a main character or hog the spotlight and I don't have much of an ego to bruise if the party has criticisms. Combat can be quite fun but I don't enjoy 4 hour battles and straight forward slogs with no interesting elements in the enviroments, scenario, or mechanics can get old for me. Roleplay is fun but I'm not looking to win an Academy Award. I am looking for a group that enjoys humor but doesn't make a joke of absolutely everything. I like a group that wants to share but not spend half the session chatting about life. I like playing with people who try to understand the game a bit better and don't have to ask the same questions over and over again about how things work. Overall I am a gamer who wants to game with others that want to as well.

Hello! I'm Dex, I'm 24, and I'm looking to hopefully join some people for some D&D! I'd prefer a game in the AM EST, and I can be available on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As for me as a player, I've been playing for a little over a decade now, but I still wouldn't consider myself a veteran in any way. I love getting into character, participating in the world that is set before me, participating in further other player's character's story lines, and working as a team. My absolute favorite things about the game are watching characters grow and flourish, becoming invested in PC and NPC story lines, and role playing with others. I've mostly played D&D 5e, but I've also played a handful of other systems. I enjoy a 70/30 split between role play and combat, and I love when combat furthers the story in some way. Combat is amazing, but RP is where the most fun lies for me. I can be flexible with classes, preferring Wizard, Paladin, Warlock, Ranger, Rogue, or Cleric. I prefer to make a character once a know a bit about the world and can tailor a backstory especially to have great driving motivation and interpersonal dynamic possibilities for the specific campaign. I'm Nik, in my late thirties and ageing like Keanu. I'm from the UK, run my games online via Foundry VTT and am a friendly and chilled guy, but most definitely a forever DM. I've only ever had the chance to play to the end of the first book of Pathfinders Legacy of Fire, so the games I'd love to play from start to finish (in order of most wanted to least for each system) are: Pathfinder 1 - Curse of the Crimson Throne, Return of the Runelords, Kingmaker. Pathfinder 2 - Any of the above converted to 2E, or anything else. D&D 5E - Curse of Strahd. Call of Cthulhu - Never played, but with the right DM, would love to try it. I make all of my physical character sheets and tokens in Photoshop, love roleplay-heavy campaigns and as a DM, prefer running gritty, grounded games over power fantasy. I'm currently working on an original Berserk (Manga) themed campaign, and have been writing an original sequel to the Alien RPG intro campaign - Hope's Last Day. Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

I’m open to pretty much any system. I’m mainly just trying to learn, get comfortable, and have a good time with it. I’m looking for a chill, respectful group. No hateful stuff or weird vibes, just people who want to hang out and enjoy the game. I like a balance between roleplay and gameplay. I’ll get into character, but I’m not trying to go super hardcore with it. I lean more toward rule of cool than strict rules as long as things stay fair and fun. Collaborative storytelling is really important to me. I enjoy when everyone contributes and helps shape the story instead of it feeling one-sided. Overall I’m easygoing and just looking to rediscover the hobby with a good group.

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

A year or so ago my group of friends kinda disbanded 'cause we are all adults with lifes and finding a time where all of us are available is been tricky. If I had to describe myself as a player I would say that I like the 60% roleplaying and 40% combat distribution. I love to get to know the different characters and NPCs and dig into the lore of the world and I also enjoy puzzles. Whenever I'm playing I lean more towards support / enabler characters or healers, but I always try to come to a middle point between what I envission and what the party needs. Hey. I'm not-lola. I'm a mid-thirties australian roleplayer who's been rolling dice and acting characters and creating worlds and all that jazz for a real long time. This hobby is kinda wild. You can have some real good times, and some real bad times. You can be bored out of your mind or on the absolute edge of your seat. It all depends on the people at the table, the story that's being created, the creativity and energy that is being brought to bear. I like high emotion, high roleplaying, smart storytelling, expansive worlds and unexpected outcomes. I've got a weakness for red spaceships, last stands, and extending trust against all the odds. My strength as a roleplayer is conveying character identity. For whatever reason the people I create tend to inspire some kind of emotion in other people, which tends to be good as it makes people care, even if it's caring about making sure that someone gets punched in the face. My weakness is memory. I don't hugely remember what i've done, which makes me double back, meander, over-emphasize or forget to follow through on something I set up earlier. This tends to make me a stronger player than a GM but I still run games and people still show up for them, so i'm probably doing something right.

Hello, I am an avid TTRPG enthusiest and have read the entirety of rule books for advanced DnD 2nd edition. I have a large knowledge of Pathfinder 1e as well as Vampire the masquerade 5e and DnD 5e. I also have read a large amount of books for other rpgs including mask a new generation, vampire the requiem, mutants and masterminds 2e, the older world of darkness editions, marvel heroic rpg, and more. I am anxious with new people, but once I learn the group vibe I play my charecters with joy and enthusiasm. I am intrested in playing with a group that I can be myself in and I will listen to any concerns others have without jugment and I hope for the same in return. I am willing to try any system if I can get my hands on a copy of the rule book.

33M, EST time zone I enjoy engaging with themes of "no good guys", moderate to extreme horror and flawed but earnest characters. I love roleplaying and usually build sheets to reflect a character concept or personality instead of optimized stats. I'm not interested in NSFW roleplay but I will engage with NSFW themes if they fit the game setting. I'm happy to tailor my character concepts and degree of gory detail to whatever the rest of the table is comfortable with. Most of my roleplay experience has been text based or play by post, but I've also played and helped run several campaigns both online and in person that lasted anywhere from months to 2+ years. I have a learning disability that makes math and learning new rulesets difficult (dyscalculia) but I do my best to compensate for it through cheat sheets and reference cards I make for myself. It's a me problem but a little patience while I learn is greatly appreciated. World of Darkness is the setting I have the most experience with, particularly Mage20, Vampire20, and the By Night Studios LARP system. I have a general understanding of WH40K and have read some of the ttrpg sourcebooks but my play experience is limited to some of the video games and a few novels (Rogue Trader, Darktide, Mechanicus, the Night Lords trilogy, Infinite and the Divine). I am tentatively open to systems not specifically tagged but would prefer to avoid DnD (any edition), Daggerheart, Fate, and Apocalypse World/PbtA. Other non-ttrpg favorites include Destiny/Destiny 2, Mistborn, splatterpunk fiction, the Cthulhu mythos, and Murderbot Diaries. I am generally available between 5 to 10pm American EST on Mondays and Wednesday-Friday but there is some variability on Fridays, as I run my own game on that day once or twice a month.
