Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, mostly as GM. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns. I revel in many layered plots that peel like a bag of onions, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, roleplay heavy, and Rule of Cool. I prefer acting in the first person with people who invest creativity in their characters. At the moment, I'd like to focus on horror games and Cyberpunk. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have extensive experience in Call of Cthulhu in the 1920's as well as in Cyberpunk 2020 so I'll adapt to new editions easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'm eager to try them out. I lean into characters hungry for lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors risking their sanity in eldritch tomes, or tomb raiding archaeologists uncovering more than they bargained for. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. Regarding scheduling, I'm available every day (but would prefer playing every other week) from 9pm to 2am GMT+2, so don't let the timezone be an obstacle to our meeting. New to online play, usually do in person, but want to expand my horizons.  Any time is a good time to Run/Play! Always down to tell a story with players or create a story with players I have 10+ years of storytelling experience with Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Wraith, Hunter, Shadowrun, D&D and many more! I'm not very familiar with roll20 and demiplane as I've mainly played in person. Though I'm good with Discord! Mind's eye is more my style over battlemaps, hence the lack of knowledge with roll20/demiplane.

About Me I’m a long-time tabletop player and Dungeon Master who’s been around the hobby since the 80s. I stepped away for a while due to real-life commitments (kids, etc.), but I’ve been back in the hobby for the past few years and fully invested again. I currently run a 1st Edition AD&D campaign on Wednesday nights, so I understand the effort that goes into running a game and always respect the DM’s time and rulings. I’m reliable, punctual, and if I commit to a campaign, I stick with it. Playstyle I enjoy character-driven games, strong party dynamics, and meaningful choices. I like worlds that react to players and where decisions actually matter. I’m equally happy with: Serious, grounded, or dark games as well as Lighter, silly, or zany systems I don’t force humour or grimdark—it should come naturally from the table and the situation. Combat-wise, I prefer encounters that feel dangerous or purposeful, rather than filler. At the table I: Engage with the world and NPCs Support the group (no lone-wolf disruption) Play characters with clear motivations and flaws Match the tone of the campaign Experience I’ve played (and in some cases run) a wide range of systems over the years, including: Call of Cthulhu The White Wolf Games (Vampire: The Masquerade, Mage: The Ascension, Werewolf: The Apocalypse etc) Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (1E) Original Dungeons & Dragons (1974) Traveller Paranoia SpaceMaster Stormbringer Pendragon LARP systems and more.... I’m comfortable with everything from old-school lethal play to narrative-heavy systems. I tend to prefer games with a bit more edge, tension, or mechanical weight, but I’m very open to learning new systems with a beginner-friendly group. System Preferences I generally lean toward OSR-style play, horror, or grounded fantasy, but I’m flexible if the group and DM are a good fit. What I’m Looking For A consistent group that values commitment A DM who enjoys player agency and consequences A balance of roleplay, exploration, and meaningful combat A game with some depth or immersion, whether serious or occasionally zany Character Approach (Example Concept) I usually build characters around the era/setting, but I gravitate toward: Pragmatic survivors with questionable morals Loyal but dangerous allies Characters shaped by the world rather than destined heroes I like creating interesting tension without disrupting the party. A Bit of Personality I enjoy grounded fantasy, horror, and morally grey storytelling—but I also appreciate humour when it fits naturally at the table. Having been on both sides of the screen, I try to be the kind of player I’d want in my own game. Final Notes Looking to join a group where I can engage with the world, contribute to the party, and commit long-term.

35 NB dnd player for discord group Hi there! My current group seems to be falling apart and I'd like to have a different group I can count on to play. Obviously sometimes things come up or people get sick, but I would like a group that cares as much and tries as much as I do to keep playing together. I love making stories together with friends and having silly fun with our ridiculous characters.  I have currently mostly only been a player, but I had been working on a campaign for myself to DM, with said group. Did session 0s and things, world built etc, but that might have to change due to things that happened in our group. I also recently had an idea for a space jammer campaign. I've dabbled in different classes and general types of characters, some of which I have used inspiration from character from shows and video games I enjoy for reference. My first DND character and the one I've played the most is Phoenix, a fire genasi, way of the dragon monk with an aberrant dragon mark. (Her vibe was a bit of Bakugo and Mirko from My Hero Academia, and also the jaded outlook on life of Astarion with the protectiveness of Karlach from BG3). There were others in between but my current one is Xiào Lián who is a modified/customized/homebrewed Oath of the ancients paladin. The customization was very plot relevant and basically, he is an eladrin elf and I wanted him to have seasonally specific spells and stuff and there is other lore reasons why he can't control his seasons and stuff. I wanted to play a martial class that had more elemental stuff going on and Oath of the Ancients was the closest so I went from there. His sources of inspiration, and quick reference for character vibes are Xin Zhao from League of Legends, Hua Cheng and Xiè Lián from Heaven Official's blessing. He is very honorable, protective, compassionate and a family man. Haha (Also if anyone is curious about that build, I planned it out on Excel from level 4 to level 20) I am also familiar with Pathfinder and MAGE if any people here like those game modes as well. All this to say, I am open to DM-ing for those patient enough to want to play with a noob DM (we can as a group discuss what kind of game we want) and of course open to being a player in a campaign. I can maneuver my work schedule to accommodate others' availability. I'm hoping to find a group who wants to commit to a weekly game. If something comes up that has to happen that day, I'd like everyone in the group to care enough to want to try to plan a different time that week to play (but if there isn't a time that week, thats fine). This is sounding pretty depressing but I truly would love to find/make a new group that is passionate about the worlds we can create in dnd and building them with other people to the point we look forward to spending time together playing the game every week and if we hang out outside of the game, we make dnd jokes to each other about our characters and other silly things, or talk about how we are still reeling from the horrifying thing that happened at the last session.  My cards are as on the table as they can be at this point. If you have read this whole post, thank you for your time. I mentioned my age up top for full transparency. I'm open to a group of whatever ages of the people are who would feel comfortable palying DND with me as well. Much Love.

I've been playing and GM-ing for more than 30 years.  I began with AD&D and World of Darkness, but now play a wide variety of games- too many to list.   Right now, I'm really looking to play Call of Cthulhu, Elfquest, Wraith: the Oblivion, Changeling: the Dreaming, Aberrant (1e), Dresden Files, Good Society, and Paranoia.  I'd prefer to play, but might be willing to run.  I assume most opportunities will be for online play, but I live in the southeastern United States if face-to-face play becomes an option.  I've also designed several RPGs, and will be looking to playtest soon-ish.
