hiddenson
Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, both as GM and as player, and I'm getting back on the saddle. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, often choosing to play the right track at the right second for the right scene. That said, I enjoy the acting and teamwork part of playing, so I'd like to do that as well from time to time. I recently launched a paid Vampire: The Masquerade Chronicle, so I'm willing to trade seats if our playstyles and game list match. As this is my player profile, I'd like to focus on roleplay heavy horror games. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have a lot of experience in the previous edition of Call of Cthulhu set in the Roaring Twenties, so I'm sure I can adapt to the new edition easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'd like the chance to try them out to round up the horror genre. When it comes to my playing style, I'm roleplay focused and lean into characters keen on knowledge and lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors, librarians looking for eldritch tomes, and tomb raiding archaeologists. When I GM, I lean towards Rule of Cool, and I favor players who invest creativity in their characters. Regarding scheduling, I'm available every day (but would prefer playing every other week) from 9pm to 2am GMT+2. Hit me up with your best message and let's tempt fate together!

Wayne Hunter
Hey, I'm Matt (or Wayne). I like building characters with actual flaws who make questionable decisions for the sake of a good narrative arc. I tend to get overly invested in fictional worlds, which is probably why I'm here. If you're looking for a player who treats your lore like a casual bedtime story and actually wants to know why the grumpy tavern owner is grumpy, I'm your guy. I'm not really here to crunch numbers into oblivion or argue over combat grid geometry. I'm way more interested in the messy, collaborative storytelling part of things. Think less tactical strike force and more chaotic found family trying to survive the plot. So yeah, if your table leans heavily into deep roleplay, exploring the setting, and letting characters actually talk to each other before things inevitably blow up, we'll probably get along great. My schedule is very flexible except for sleep time.

mabel
hi! i'm mabel (she/her, 29) forever gm based in denver looking to play some games! willing to join groups solo or with my girlfriend. i've been playing roleplaying games in some form or fashion for over 15 years, but I haven't had enough consistent availability over the years to really form any sort of solid playgroup. i'm hoping to find likeminded folks (leftists of any sort, lgbt+, overall nice people) to explore various games with. some systems that i'm particularly interested in playing are Shadowdark, Cairn & similar rulesets, Coriolis (either edition), Mothership, Delta Green, Vagabond, Vaesen, and Public Access. I have D&D 5e listed on my profile for the sake of showing my experience with it; I'm not interested in playing 5e under most circumstances.  other interests include hiking/camping, reading (mostly fantasy and communist theory), music (i'm a touring artist), and anime/manga.

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

James
Long time gamer in multiple systems, hoping to jump into something either sci-fi or modern-ish based. I'm based on the East Coast and work evenings and weekends, so I'm hoping to maybe find a game either playing Monday-Friday, during the day or based in another time zone where I'd be playing during the day. I'm a friendly guy, love to really get into the setting I'm in, and happy to actually roleplay rather than murderhobo, but do love a good combat too.

Dany Guay-Belanger
Game scholar, public historian, and metalhead who is slowly rediscovering his passion for TTRPGs. I like a good balance of silliness, difficulty, and grit. Started to DM D&D 5e about a year or two ago and loving it! Looking for inclusive groups to play with for one-shots or perhaps long term games if we get along.

Essence
I'm Essence, or C.J., and I've been TTRPG'ing and playing/running games for roughly 13 years, moreso as a GM than as a Player. I come from a large selection of various other RPG backgrounds, starting with Dungeons and Dragons 3.5e then moving on to other systems like Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu / Delta Green, World of Darkness (OWoD and CofD), the Year Zero Engine games (Mutant, ALIEN, Twilight 2K, and TFTL/TFTF), Modiphius 2d20-style games (Fallout, Star Trek, and Dune), and PbtA games like Blades in the Dark and MASKS. I'm in my mid-twenties, a Data Security Analyst for my dayjob and am a Soldier. I enjoy science-fiction and spy thrillers, roleplaying and strategy games, weight-lifting, cats (I have three!), and performative theatre / cinema as hobbies and interests! I'm fairly big into in-depth roleplaying but also to more meta elements of roleplaying games like puzzles or challenges, or uncovering unique ways to get out of / tackle some problems Looking forward to rolling dice with you!
