  I’m putting together a D&D group to run Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic adventure that - according to my research - is perfect for both new and experienced players. Hi there! I'm a DM with over 15 years of experience with various systems covering most genres and including officially published games and homemade systems. In the past few months I've rediscovered my love for the Battletech universe and would like to run a game in said universe. I will list as many details as I can. The year is 3035 and the party are members of a very down on their luck mercenary company. After a botched contract given to them by House Kurita, the company's commander is MIA and down to minimal resources, meaning a couple Leopards, two barely functional Lances of Mechs, and about 50 personnel. With each passing week handfuls of Mercs once dedicated to the company are scalped by other companies or agents of the Houses of the Inner Sphere. The party consists of those unwilling to give up hope and those who wish to see the Company rise in status, all while kicking ass, taking names, and drinking gin. The Details The game will be run every other Wednesday starting in mid/late April, most likely from 7pm-11pm EST. The game will use Discord for the majority of communication, though I am still figuring out what I want to use for gameplay. Either Foundry or a tool most suitable for BT. The systems used will be Mechwarrior 2e for ground level gameplay and classic battletech for everything else. I am looking for 4 players for this campaign which will feature equal amounts of mature roleplay and crunchy combat. Expect humor, banter, and heartfelt moments as well. It can't always be warcrimes all the time. Players will most likely be in control of 2-4 characters possibly including two mechwarriors and two support staff or other members of the Merc band. LMoP game set to run weekly at Friday 7pm CST (Saturday noon AEDT for me). We've got a couple of interested players already. Hello! First time posting, I am the DM for a group of four that have been playing since December 2017 (in-person) in southwestern Maine. One of our members has stepped away from the game, leaving us with 3 players at the table. While that is a fine size we do enjoy the dynamic with four player characters - and with the recent departure the table feels a bit empty! It is a home brewed world, the current campaign started on New Year’s Day January 2025. The campaign before that was our only other campaign, which ran about 7 years. The players are currently level 8, and they are on a tall ship in a campaign in which they are sailing around the pangaean continent and battling evil, pirates, spending lots of time in coastal cities on shore leave getting into trouble and all of that great stuff. We play with the 5e 2014 rules and our sessions are every Tuesday night, running from 7pm to usually around 11-12, rarely running longer than that. To be honest we are quite spoiled in that we rarely have a group member absent, and would be looking for somebody who wants to commit to being there in person every week. I don’t have a lot of experience with seeing other groups play, but I would describe us as fairly role play heavy - lots of time spent between players having conversations in character with each other and NPCs. We lean into the “yes, and” style as much as people are comfortable with. We are a mature group, most of us in our 40s. After our player exit there will be two women and two men at the table, if that’s important to know. We are an upbeat group, we don’t delve into stuff that makes people uncomfortable, and we care a lot about our little world and the time we spend together. I know it’s a long shot posing this, considering how hard it is to get schedules to line up and how sparsely populated Maine is - but I would have regrets if I never tried! We are hoping the right person is out there and willing to give us a try. I always host the event at a huge custom made gaming table (I made it during the pandemic lockdown) with a walk-up bar, beer on tap, and two Boston terriers running around begging for attention on occasion.

Hello everyone! We are a group of four looking for a DM for a new campaign. We have been playing D&D together for about four years at this point and would like to start up a second campaign as one of the campaigns we are in together recently ended. We would like the campaign to be weekly, preferably on the weekend at a set time (we usually have campaigns around 6 PM CET), but we are usually flexible when it comes to sessions if life happens and the session needs to be rescheduled. As for the campaign it is really up to you as the DM. The only wishes we have are the following: we want to play D&D 5E 2024, and not an evil campaign. We would also prefer a more traditional D&D setting, either set in Faerun or a world similar to it. A homebrew world is completely fine. We would like to start the campaign at a low level (ideally level 3) and keep playing until we reach higher levels of play. We would prefer the campaign to have a story and a common goal, so not like a directionless sandbox campaign. We tend to follow the threads you lay out as a DM, meaning we do not usually decide to do something completely different than what you have prepared as a DM. As for more personal requirements: - we would like you to be at least 25 years old - somewhat experienced in DMing - fluent in English - at a stable enough point in your life where you could see yourself DMing a long campaign consistently As for us - we are all from different nationalities so where you are from does not matter. All of us are male and we are all adults (we do not care if you are male or female). We can also be a bit blunt at times, but that being said we all have thick skin and are not easily offended. We have no problem discussing any points of tension without being upset! We tend to like to play things by the rules, but homebrew rules are fine as long as they have been established before being applied. We like all aspects of D&D - roleplaying, combat, exploration and so on. We tend to know our characters very well, both from a mechanical and roleplay point of view. This is a campaign where you basically get to adventure through the world that my mind imagines and you influence. It's a darker setting with lots of psychological horror elements and without any real objective to achieve.  It’s what I’d see as a classic dnd world. A medieval-esque world with magic. The main idea about the world is that chaos is growing, darkness is spreading and the world is corrupted and continues to grow darker and more dangerous. This is due to Bane (the god of darkness) and his followers wishing to draw the whole realm into the dark grip of Bane. While this is happening Bhaal and Myrkul (the 2 other in the dead 3, god of murder and lord of bones) will become jealous and also start influencing the realm and driving to empower themselves. Bane’s most important followers have gained the ability to steal the souls of lower mortals to transform themselves into demons and monsters of the fiendish variety (Bane is a fiendish god from what I could find) The characters I’ve had so far have had sad backstories, but tbh, I give everyone the freedom to do as they choose. I’m creating homebrew items and maps for the campaign as well! The players will be free to do whatever they choose in the world with me putting my heart and soul into creating as fun and adventurous encounters and experiences. The campaign has technically started, but players often disappear due to scheduling conflicts and such. And not much has happened so far. Everyone is welcome, no matter age, experience, gender or whatever other factors could be seen as excluding.  Right now I only have 1 confirmed player left, with maybe 1 or 2 joining within a couple of weeks.
