Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. No one knows why he stepped down but as soon as he landed on Fulcre soil he instantly withered, shriveled up, and died in a puff of ash and smoke. Now, as a result, magic is dying and clerics and paladins of Trav have lost their abilties. Not yet completely magic in all its forms are chaotic and destabilizing. This has caused the once peaceful kingdoms to go to war over artifacts and last vestiges of magical power. Hundreds of thousands have died in these wars and kingdoms have fallen in only the first 2 years of this terrible event. Now the land is in shambles and 4 villagers from a town called Gastel, on the fringes of the map have decided to set out and see or do what they can in this wild world on the brink of destruction. I have done a couple oneshots that were supposed to be campaigns but due to scheduling errors or trouble players I have yet to really roll out a long term campaign and instead have been stockpiling ideas and events in the world of Fulcre for a few years now. I try to get this off the ground at least once a year. Here's hoping this is the one. As i said I'm a newer DM. My style is improvised and for the most part theatre of the mind. I do not enjoy the crunchiness of having to stick to rules as cemented. Rule of cool or creativity is my golden rule. I also have an iron clad golden rule that most should abide by. Treat others with the repect and curteousy you wish to be treated with. In this campaign back up characters are encouraged for those with a hankering for combat. The world is low to no magic and as a result healing is quite difficult. With the exceptions of potions and artifacts(extremely hard to come by) or magic users that have found creative ways to improvise healing or someone extraordinarily gifted in the art of medicine and bodily health, long or short resting are the only ways one might heal. If you engage in combat knowing this you risk almost certain death. On the topic of magic, magical classes are still available however I have a magic consequence table similar to wild magic tables that have anywhere from disatrous, to wonderful, to wacky consequences on it and it is skewed towards disastrous as magic becomes more unpredictable with every passing year and with lessening effects.  Alost every situation I throw at you has 2-3 solutions or ways to go about for absolute certainty. However I encourage and will be very happy if I am surprised and you find a creativite or cool way around my encounters. As this is theatre of the mind it also pays to always ask questions if your unsure of the scene and ake notes on anything you think may be important or anything I may tell you is very important. Games will be held weekly at 7pm est Mondays or Tuesdays. I have both days completely open and will cement the exact day depending on the availability of players but 7pm is non-negotiable. He was born and raised in Raptio Peak and dreams to someday see his grandchildren running along the plains of green grass he planted and tended. Nike: A determined 53yo divorced woman. She has loose strands of salt and pepper hair, a toned, fit figure for her age, and eyes cold and black as the ocean. She has explored the better half of the Midwest and has decided to settle down here. She says it's because she can see the sunrise from where she lives. Winchester: An easygoing 40yo businessman. With a gleaming bald scalp, a rotund body, and a tiny, beady eyes, he's looks like a very stereotypical wealthy man. He's on a business trip and decided to stop in this town for the night, the night before the train broke down. Hi there! I'm a DM with over 15 years of experience with various systems covering most genres and including officially published games and homemade systems. In the past few months I've rediscovered my love for the Battletech universe and would like to run a game in said universe. I will list as many details as I can. The year is 3035 and the party are members of a very down on their luck mercenary company. After a botched contract given to them by House Kurita, the company's commander is MIA and down to minimal resources, meaning a couple Leopards, two barely functional Lances of Mechs, and about 50 personnel. With each passing week handfuls of Mercs once dedicated to the company are scalped by other companies or agents of the Houses of the Inner Sphere. The party consists of those unwilling to give up hope and those who wish to see the Company rise in status, all while kicking ass, taking names, and drinking gin. The Details The game will be run every other Wednesday starting in mid/late April, most likely from 7pm-11pm EST. The game will use Discord for the majority of communication, though I am still figuring out what I want to use for gameplay. Either Foundry or a tool most suitable for BT. The systems used will be Mechwarrior 2e for ground level gameplay and classic battletech for everything else. I am looking for 4 players for this campaign which will feature equal amounts of mature roleplay and crunchy combat. Expect humor, banter, and heartfelt moments as well. For the past year I have been developing a mostly homebrew campaign setting. Currently I am preparing to host its first ever campaign/session. The game itself will be a dark fantasy and post-apocalyptic world known as Relovia. No, there is no relation to the setting for Curse of Strahd. Relovia suffers under the blight of the Stillborn Moon, a failed god seedling that has turned Relovia into an ashen hellscape of mutated monsters, aberrant horrors, and terrors beyond imagining. I would say it is a high fantasy, low tech campaign but there is nuance to that that would be heavy spoilers. It’ll be a great time! Themes include body horror, cosmic horror, survival, existentialism, hope, and defiance. The campaign will be about 70-30 between roleplay and combat. 70% of the campaign will be social encounters, exploration, and the like while the other 30% will be combat. A very important fact I need to share about Relovia before we continue is that Relovia has no connection to gods or other planes. This means that the power granted to you by gods or external powers comes from within, through study, force-of-personality, force-of-will or whatever else. That means that if your powers explicitly come from an external source (such as Warlock) we can talk about how that power manifests without a patron. I don’t want to spoil too much but I do have a master document that’ll be sharing about Relovia if this piques your interest. You don’t necessarily have to make a good character but you have to make a character that wants to take part in this story and wants to travel with the group. Actions will have consequences and Relovia can be an unforgiving place. We’ll have a full Session 0 where we’ll all make characters together and set boundaries and expectations for myself and the players and their characters. I am aiming for a heavy immersive game and so backstories are mandatory and coming with the attitude of wanting to explore the world, while not mandatory, will help you enjoy yourself much more. I hesitate to call the game a sandbox because I do have a central story idea in place but a lot of that central plot can be discovered by simply exploring and interacting with the world. I am currently running a PBP game set in Rune Midgard, the world of Ragnarok online using SWADE system.  I am not using the SWPF. I am translating the game powers/skills from each class to a class edge in the SWADE format. My plan is to run everyone together but since it's faster to go 1 on 1, I am doing 1 on 1 games and if the character is in the same location of the other one, they go together. Hello! First time posting, I am the DM for a group of four that have been playing since December 2017 (in-person) in southwestern Maine. One of our members has stepped away from the game, leaving us with 3 players at the table. While that is a fine size we do enjoy the dynamic with four player characters - and with the recent departure the table feels a bit empty! It is a home brewed world, the current campaign started on New Year’s Day January 2025. The campaign before that was our only other campaign, which ran about 7 years. The players are currently level 8, and they are on a tall ship in a campaign in which they are sailing around the pangaean continent and battling evil, pirates, spending lots of time in coastal cities on shore leave getting into trouble and all of that great stuff. We play with the 5e 2014 rules and our sessions are every Tuesday night, running from 7pm to usually around 11-12, rarely running longer than that. To be honest we are quite spoiled in that we rarely have a group member absent, and would be looking for somebody who wants to commit to being there in person every week. I don’t have a lot of experience with seeing other groups play, but I would describe us as fairly role play heavy - lots of time spent between players having conversations in character with each other and NPCs. We lean into the “yes, and” style as much as people are comfortable with. We are a mature group, most of us in our 40s. After our player exit there will be two women and two men at the table, if that’s important to know. We are an upbeat group, we don’t delve into stuff that makes people uncomfortable, and we care a lot about our little world and the time we spend together. I know it’s a long shot posing this, considering how hard it is to get schedules to line up and how sparsely populated Maine is - but I would have regrets if I never tried! We are hoping the right person is out there and willing to give us a try. I always host the event at a huge custom made gaming table (I made it during the pandemic lockdown) with a walk-up bar, beer on tap, and two Boston terriers running around begging for attention on occasion.

The Alien RPG caught my eye, specifically the cinematic mode, which is for one shots. I want to try and run the COTG module, which supposedly takes 4-5 hours in a single session. This module is inspired by old Alien movies, stuck on a ship with lots of drama sort of deal. Players will have agendas, motivations and everyone won't survive. It will be a very rough, horror-ish experience with fights between the character amidst chaos. You choose from pre-made characters and quickly get going, roleplay is very important in this TTRPG. I've done public play-by-posts, private games like this one online, played in long-running IRL and online games, and generally have experience with all manner of IRL and Online games! GMT-6) with a pretty open availability for the most part.  Most games are focused on power fantasies: slay the evil, fulfill the prophecy, become the chosen hero. It's fun, of course; who doesn't enjoy feeling unstoppable? Walking into a fight knowing you're the biggest thing in the room. It's satisfying and leads to some super sick scenes- But that's not what I'm craving right now! No, today I want struggle- Not neccesarily bad endings or being snatched or taken by the villain, but friction, frustration, etc. I want to sit there counting my gold and silver and actually have to choose between taking a new weapon, or do I stock up on potions because last time nearly killed me? Manage every resource I got, between income, sleep, and time- Even so far as trying to harvest specific bits of monsters because they sell better or going out at specific times for a hunt. I want the small stuff to matter; the quiet math of survival- Choosing party members for stats, abilities, temperament, who to put my trust into. Building bonds and butting heads but trying to keep tensions down without dying. I want to feel a loss of an ally, both in emotion and mechanic. A gap. I want to survive, to have a chance, to struggle but make it out and FEEL when I don't. My immediate feelings are probably obviously fantasy stuff, low magic, that sort- I'm most familiar with DnD5e but I'm MORE than aware that it doesn't wholly work for this. Dicelite, no dice, whatever the GM wishes for! I'm down. Now, in terms of NSFW presence; I would like a little bit! Preferably not nonstop fucking, but some smut here and there would be pleasant- A way to get closer with allies, take my mind off of things, make connections to use later- Whatever really!
