Description

The story is set in a world with 4 distinct nations, each with their importance in and out of the main story, ranging from a massive nation built on a large city, to a divided nation of high mountain dwellers to grassland and desert inhabiting nomads. This campaign has been running for 1 and a half years and i'm looking for a player to join. This is a mostly homebrew world with a homebrew story, with a few house rules just to make the game more enjoyable (notably i decided to axe casters only being able to cast 1 spell on their turn, e.g. Fireball then Misty step being allowed). This dnd uses DnD beyond for the making of sheets and gameplay but uses roll 20 for the visual side and battlemaps. We are also using discord for talking amongst eachother, so only real requirement is that you have a mic, that is all. The party is level 11 and as such you'd be starting at their level, it consists of a Monk, Artificer and a Cleric. There was another player but they've taken a temporary hiatus and the other player has essentially gone awol, hence why im looking for another player. I've been a DM/player for around 2 years now, with my players also playing dnd for around 2 years, we are all around the same age (16-17) . If you wish to join, simply reply with your discord user and a lil bout yourself, favourite class and whatever else you wish to say.

The Land Beyond the Fog

Hello, I'm Bartek and I dm a soulslike homebrew DND campaign, heavy roleplay and engaging combat. With a very immersive, and active homebrew pantheon. The players are now at session 3 of the campaign and about to enter some catacombs, however 2 of our players have had to leave due to their own personal lives, giving us 2 extra slot This is the prologue the players received in session 1, to give you the vibe of the campaign. The fallen leaves tell a story... Of a land beyond the fog. Before kingdoms. Before war. Before the names of kings were carved into stone... There was Vita, Mother of All. From her hands came the first trees, their roots piercing the untouched earth. From the trees came the first plants. From the plants came sustenance. Then came the beasts of field and forest, given breath beneath the newborn sky. And at last... Vita created Man. But there was only one. His name was Vex. The First Man. In those earliest days, Vex was a gracious ruler. He built where there was nothing. He nurtured what was fragile. He gave order to a world yet untouched by war. And beneath Vita's watch... His people prospered. Yet life, once born, does not remain still. Vita bore within her the promise of three children. And where there is creation... It must cast a shadow. From the darkness cast by Vita's own existence came something that bore but one name. Umbrosus. The Eternal Dark. It dwelled where sunlight dared not reach. Beneath roots. Beneath stone. Within the forgotten places of the world. At first, it knew nothing of Man. Nothing of Vita. Nothing of the tongue spoken by living things. But it watched. And it learned. Slowly, Umbrosus crept into the dwelling of Vita. It learned the language of its creator. It listened to the voices of her children. And in the stillness of night... It heard the beating of Vita's heart. One heartbeat. Then another. Then... three more. For within the Mother slept the unborn children of the world. Mortuus The Golden Child. Distortus. The Forgotten Son. Enchidna. The Mother of Monsters. Three children. Untouched by the world's cruelty. Three souls destined to inherit the Mother's creation. But Umbrosus reached them first While Vita slept... The shadow entered the womb It did not kill them. It did something far worse. It left within each child an ember of itself. A darkness that not even the Mother's light could wholly extinguish Kings may bury their crimes. Civilizations may burn their histories. Gods may attempt to erase their mistakes. But time continues. And eventually, time reveals all And so... The children of Vita were born carrying a fragment of the shadow. And now... Our world bears the weight of it. But where there is shadow... There is light. Light that finds its way through the cracks. Light that refuses to die. Light that does not merely shine... but roars And now... There is only one question left. Dear adventurers... Will you heed its call? If your interested in joining please either DM me or leave a comment. :)

The Somnium Shard |5.5e DnD| Long-Term Sandbox

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. D&D. DM is looking for the players (16-18+)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
All week, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)
