Description

Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Time: BST. Wednesday 19:00. "All things roll here: horrors of midnights, Campaigns of a lost year, Dungeons disturbed, and groves of lights; Echoing on these shores, still clear, Dead ecstasies of questing knights- Yet how the wind revives us here!"
— Arthur Rimbaud
This adventure concerns a once proud fortress that fell into the earth in an age long past. Now known as the Sunless Citadel, its echoing, broken halls now house malign creatures, unsolved mysteries, and perhaps even great treasures… Hello! My name is Mshary and I am looking to run a short 4-6 sessions long mini-campaign with potential of running a long-term campagin afterwards. I'm looking for up to 5 players and this is open to everyone! New players are especially welcome since I am planning to do quite a lot to help out anyone trying to get the hang of the rules and character building. New players bring great, positive energy, and any table would be lucky to have you, which is why I would love to take you on this journey. As for veteran players, you are also more than welcome to apply if you want to give this short adventure a try. What you can expect What you can expect from me is an experienced GM who has run a several long-term campaigns and many more oneshots and shorter games. The one line that best describes me as a GM is that I’m relaxed, friendly, and here to make sure everyone has a great time. My games are all about good vibes, fun, and group chemistry. I have a bit of an “older brother” style. Guiding things, hyping players up, and making sure everyone feels comfortable jumping in and having their moment. No one gets left on the sidelines. I am also mostly an OSR GM these days so a lot of the things I've come to learn from running those kinds of games will be used in my modern games as well. Expect player skill over character sheets, time-keeping, and high flexibility in making anything you guys think of doable without pulling out the tomes each time. I also run all my games on Foundry VTT which means that I tend to go full out when it comes to aesthetics and ease-of-use. Nice maps, sounds, automations, you name it. The Game My plan is to run the Sunless Citadel, a timeless classic which I believe is a perfect introduction to DnD. However, I will be making certain changes to improve the experience. I will also reach out to you individually throughout our time together to work on your characters and anything you may need help with. Your ideas are the most important. I want you to feel excited about playing this character. I am consistent and punctual. If for whatever reason something comes up and a game must be postponed, I will let you all know far in advance and try my best to accommodate an alternative game time. TCR is D&D 5e with re-balances to make it more fair and fun. we operate like an MMO, you simply create your character then you can sign up to join any quest. you keep all loot and level up after each quest. You can have multiple characters if you want to try different set up out. We have 13 classes with a total of 170+ subclasses. We have re-worked the races and plan to add more as we go. if we dont have something that your looking for let us know :D We use discord for voice and Foundry VTT for battle maps, rules and character creation. The VTT is heavily modified to be easier to use and more automated so you can focus more on the combat and roleplaying rather than finding stuff in a clustered system. We have a group of active GM's throwing out quests on a weekly basis. Alot of these quests are also part of a larger quest series that lets you delve into more lore and investigations. MOONLIGHTERS: Adventures After Dark!

Paid game

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.
