Description

Are you German or Austrain? Or even a speaker of Deutsch? You are? Splendid! (Deutsche Version des folgenden Beitrags) Greetings adventurer, traveler, warrior, mage, and thief. It is time for mind bending adventures beyond time and belief. I am Huffle of the Buff, a student of German. In an effort to learn, I shall run you a Play By Post game, we shall then write and converse in the language of thy birth. There are two options for our campaign. It will be Play by Post only, for I cannot yet speak German, only write (my skills are incomplete). Game 1: The Crimson Party, Themes: Morally grey, revolution, rebel conflict, and witch-hunting (you are the witch). Based on my own incomplete novel of the same name: Log in to view You awaken to a red moon, and cannot help but think of the blood in your veins. You are a murderer, thief, heretic, or an innocent person who simply knows how to use magic in this land where only Paladins are allowed to wield forces beyond the physical. By the next red moon, you will hang from the gates of Blackerly, the most high security prison in the Four Duchies. Your escape is possible, your survival improbable, your revenge and the downfall of this land? Up to you. The circumstances with which you have come here are irrelevant, what matters is the time you have left until you are hung from a tree, and your corpse left to the Warden's gentle studies. Game 2: Afterwards, Themes: Post-apocalyptic, disease, horror, madness, and intense fanaticism. You had just awoken, or were nearing your slumber. You may have been outside under bright sunlight, or exploring a graveyard. Maybe you were soaked neck deep in the blood of your enemies under the bright lights of an underground arena, or deep in the fumes of an abandoned library nook. It matters not, what matters is what you received. A letter, a dream, a pouch full of paper scraps, a slate of bark, clouds suddenly converging above you into runes only you could read, or the puddle you made of some monster forming itself into letters describing an address. With the message came an object, suddenly appearing from under the paper as if conjured, or dropping from the claws of some bird, or flowing to you down the stream in a miniature wooden ship. It was important enough, notable enough, or merely interesting and precious to the degree that it persuaded you to go to the address described. However, the last line of the message was always the same for each of you: Come Alone. Game Details, System: D&D 5e (2014) Module: Homebrew, with a few ideas cribbed from established settings. Second campaign IS set on the sword coast...but a different one. Platform: Discord Session Time: No specific time. Play by post, with a minimum requirement of posting once a day. If you feel you cannot maintain this schedule, you can leave the game and we will still be friends, but please do not ghost. Tone: Equal mix of combat and role-play, combat will be done on maps, with player positions changed each turn. Feel Free to make your own tokens! Player Experience: Do you speak German? That's all I need from you. I'd like to write these game posts in both German and English to practice the language more. Then you can reply in German so I can get reading practice. (DMs with your discord ID preferred, and feel free to tell me a bit about yourself. Experience, lines and limits, preferences. Your level of German if you are not a native speaker. What sort of character concept you'd like to play.)
Seeking Brave and Lost Souls (German Version), Seid gegrüßt Abenteurer, Reisende, Krieger, Magier und Diebe. Es ist Zeit für wahnwitzige Abenteuer jenseits von Zeit und Verstand. Ich bin Huffle of the Buff, ein Deutschlernender. (DMs with your preferred discord ID, and feel free to tell me a bit about yourself. Experience, lines and limits, preferences. Your level of German if you are not a native speaker. What sort of character concept you'd like to play.)

TCR is D&D 5e with re-balances to make it more fair and fun. we operate like an MMO, you simply create your character then you can sign up to join any quest. you keep all loot and level up after each quest. You can have multiple characters if you want to try different set up out. We have 13 classes with a total of 170+ subclasses. We have re-worked the races and plan to add more as we go. if we dont have something that your looking for let us know :D We use discord for voice and Foundry VTT for battle maps, rules and character creation. The VTT is heavily modified to be easier to use and more automated so you can focus more on the combat and roleplaying rather than finding stuff in a clustered system. We have a group of active GM's throwing out quests on a weekly basis. Alot of these quests are also part of a larger quest series that lets you delve into more lore and investigations. Contact me if you wish to know more or join our discord! https://discord.gg/yGRMnh8cXg

Hai :3  I've been DMing online for about 2 years now but I've never tried irl, so here I'm trying to start that :p forgive me if I'm rather amateurish  I have two campaigns that I'll decide between based on the player makeup, one a time-loop sandbox I've home-brewed, and another a tighter dungeon crawl, still fairly nonlinear, based on Fear&Hunger. Before any of them, I'd like to run a oneshot to see what type of players I have  Generally, I don't tend to stick super closely to rules as written, and tend to not plan nameless enemies. I also don't have a super firm grasp on the rules themselves lol so it'll be a learning experience for all of us (so generally, not trying for the highest heights of difficulty)  In terms of players, I'm hoping to find people who aren't super old (I'm sixteen, ideally be under 20) and who are ok with the queers™ (don't be an arse basically)  So ya :3 if you want a roleplay-planning focused campaign rather than turn by turn battle strategy this is probably the campaign for you ✨  If your interested, DM me on discord at 'lavenderthesillycat'

TL;DR [One Player Needed - All Welcomed] [homebrew - Viking inspired] [Thursdays 21:30 GMT +2 ] We have one slot available for a 4-player party. You can read below everything about the campaign, its settings, etc, and I can share a lot more lore with whoever gets to the Discord "face-to-face" interview :) Since the campaign launched on YouTube, you can also watch recent episodes to get a sense of the current party vibe and overall style. We keep things balanced, so there are episodes with a lot of fighting and episodes with mostly role-play. Mind - We are all experienced players/DMs but amateurs when it comes to "acting", so don't expect great acting, technical know-how, or CR level game ;) You can find it on YouTube under the name: The Chronicles of Alver - https://www.youtube.com/@ChroniclesofAlver I will add that I'm looking for people with the ability to take charge and initiate role play and conversations - I want you to feel like you're in the world and try your best to "live" in it :) Lastly, everyone is welcome to try - I don't care about your race, sexual orientation, or favorite blanket as a child. Be kind and friendly to the rest of the party, and you'll fit right in :) Click the link to apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIeo4QAfbIuDVafQxzwxbnO4WD9GxjzJyPEBvs4x5R9SeiWg/viewform?usp=header ******************* Hey everyone! This post will be long as I want to give you a lot of information, so bear with me :) Index: About me About the campaign About the world Closing words About me: I'm an experienced DM (over 9 years). I would like to have five players for the campaign. You don't need to be a veteran, but I prefer some experience. The campaign is my homebrew world, which I created for a fantasy book I'm writing (and have been for several long years). I'm the head of a creative studio in an AAA-related gaming company. I'm a fantasy lover, a medieval history buff, and a martial artist, so if it has capes, I'm in! I'm a married father of three with a dog (so technically four as she's very much a daughter to me). I generally love dad jokes and word puns. I always mean my puns! About the campaign: We'll be using 5e with many homebrew elements. All the races and lore are homebrew, but for ease of use, they will all be based on edited versions of "normal" races (and all will be added to D&D Beyond). The party is currently at level 7. This will strike a balance between action and role-play. You will have a lot of weight on the story and direction. Everything goes - as long as it's realistic within the logic and magic of the world. Please let me know what you'd like to try, and we'll see how to make it happen. Death is final. Mostly. If your character dies, it'll be rare to bring them back. But you can always roll a new character. My goal is for you to enjoy the game and story. I don't want to kill your characters. I aim to provide you with a challenge, an engaging story, and a fun and immersive experience. Weekly sessions are held on Thursdays, most often (unless too many people are unable to join, in which case we'll try to find an alternative day for that week). Sessions start at 21:30 +3 GMT (18:30 UTC) and are usually two and a half hours long. We're doing video chat via the Riverside website (also for recording). I believe seeing our faces and expressions helps connect us, so I want people who are not camera-shy. No one cares how you look, what your race or color is, or whatever - be yourself (and your character), and that's great! D&D Beyond + Foundry for combat + Discord (for text chats). YouTube/Podcast - I record our sessions and post them on the campaign's YouTube channel, and may also stream them live later. I'm not delusional in thinking we'll be big or famous, but maybe some people will find our game fun to watch and benefit from it. So you need to be ok with it. Before we dive into lore and character creation, I'll ask you to sign a release form to allow me to upload videos featuring you from our sessions (all the other players have signed this form - it is to protect both you and me in the future). We speak English. I'm not a native speaker, and I don't do accents very well. But I do have excellent English. The sessions will be in English. You need to be able to speak it well. Accents are fine :) Please do not include IRL politics or agendas during sessions - These motifs are ok and might be present if they are relevant to what's going on in the session (i.e, Slavery or the Spanish Inquisition if we face a similar situation - you can use philosophical ideas obviously) - But try not to insert IRL events happening now or in recent years if possible. Age groups - around 30 or above, please Ensure you schedule a time for the session. This is important, as we've had people cancel frequently, leading to canceled sessions that significantly hinder story progression and immersion. Unforeseen shit can happen, of course, but please, if you apply, make sure you can commit to being available for the sessions each week. About the world: We'll be playing in a world called Alver on the continent of Kronland. This is a heavily Nordic-inspired world. Imagine what the late Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe would have looked and felt like if the Vikings had become the dominant influence rather than Christianity. At the same time, there would still be distinct kingdoms with their own cultures, fashions, and styles. Norse mythology is deeply ingrained in the world.  The lore is inspired by Nordic mythology, but it is NOT Nordic mythology. It's a full-on pantheon and history I created. Some stuff will align and match, but much will not.  The continent is vast, and thus, the distance between cities, villages, and civilizations is such that the world varies greatly, from areas with rare magic and supernatural elements to cosmopolitan cities with mixed races, magic, and wonder. The game is designed to strike a balance between drama, grim humor, and epic adventure. It's not just grimdark or silly - it'll be a mix of all. You'll start small in scope, but the story is meant to go epic by the end.  There are five playable races (with some having sub-races), which I'll share the details of later, but these are the closest "D&D" races to them in racial traits: Menskr: Humans + Vel (homebrew variant human - with some innate self-magical potential) Kettir: Homebrew Tabaxi Hedlinari: Homebrew mix between Dwarfs/Gnomes/Halfings Graari: Homebrew Goliath (with horns! lol) Mal-Siva: Homebrew Aasimar (The only race that can use "real" magic classes like Wizards or Warlocks in my world) Closing words: That's it. If you read all the way here, my respect! I hope we can have a fun, friendly group to play with, grow together, and have emotional support when needed (lol). Feel free to ask me any questions you might have!
