Description

The year is 1947. The smoke of the Second World War still lingers in the air, and the world moves forward with a fragile optimism it hasn't yet completely earned. But beneath the surface of the rebuilding cities and returning soldiers, beneath the jazz drifting out of late-night clubs and the rain pooling on cobblestone streets, something.... ancient... is stirring. There are cracks in the world, no -I don't mean the pavement-  and through those cracks, things are beginning to bleed through. Power oozing from other dimensions. Flickers of magic in places where magic shouldn't exist. People vanishing without explanation, and others appearing who don't belong. A secret organization has spent decades holding the seams together, but the stitches are coming undone. Somewhere in the shadows, a cult works to finish what the cracks started -to pry open the eye of a sleeping god force a truth among all of humanity, including those who never asked for it. You, however, don't know any of this yet. You're just a person, a regular human, living your life, trying to find your place in the world of Earth. But a letter is coming. And once you open it, the life you knew will be over. What comes next will take you across four worlds, through thousands of years of buried history, and into the heart of a question that no one has ever answered: when something that powerful wakes up, is it even possible to put it back to sleep? Pretty much everything you need to know will be in this google doc. There is a google form in here as well~ Log in to view Slots Available: 3 System Used: DND 5e 2014 Style: Voice on Discord, naturally using FoundryVTT Session Duration: 4-6 Hours is the current goal, BUT this can be changed up or down depending on party sentiment. Hello all, I'm Jon the DM and we're looking for players local to Indianapolis to join our new Planescape campaign. I'm a seasoned DM of 15 years, currently in my 30s looking for like minded players to round out our group. Our group is a cluster of folks in their 30s whose DnD experience varies across the board.  I tend to run narrative/character driven games regardless of the setting or system punctuated by high stakes and action with time for RP throughout. I craft and 3D print my own terrain and minis, and my lovely girlfriend is usually the painter but I'm working to improve! We're looking to play biweekly, Sundays from 12-6pm every other Sunday. I'll host at my home on the East side of Indianapolis. Feel free to reach out with any questions, looking forward to hearing from you! The Game Pitch: Plucked from the Prime, you find your very existence questioned in the balance of the Cosmic Wheel. What you believe doesn't just change your mind, it changes the Planes. You wake up in Sigil, the City of Doors, a floating metropolis built on the inside of a massive ring hovering above infinity. Here at the center of all things, every angel, demon, and philosophy has a doorstep. Each alleyway contains a door to a different plane of existence, if you have the key. And berk, you don't know the dark of it!         Tone/Inspiration: Disco Elysium, Kill Six Billion Demons, Neverwhere, Labyrinth, Planescape: Torment (duh)

Looking for adventurers! Have you always wanted to try D&D but never had the chance? Or are you a seasoned adventurer looking for a relaxed, story-focused table? I’m looking for players to join me for Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic D&D 5e adventure filled with exploration, roleplay, dungeon delving, and plenty of opportunities for your characters to become the heroes of the story. 🎲 About the Game * System: D&D 5e * Adventure: Lost Mine of Phandelver * Experience Level: Beginners absolutely welcome! * Table: 18+ * GM Experience: 2 years * Style: Rule of Cool > Rules As Written * Tone: Adventure, exploration, roleplay, comedy, and classic fantasy * LGBTQ+ Friendly: 🏳️‍🌈 Everyone is welcome at my table I’m a relatively laid-back GM who cares more about everyone having a great time than stopping the game every five minutes to consult a rulebook. If something makes sense for the story and doesn’t completely break the game, I’m usually willing to roll with it. Creativity is encouraged. If you have an idea that isn’t explicitly covered by the rules, tell me what you’re trying to do and we’ll figure it out together. 🌟 New Players Welcome Never played D&D before? That’s completely fine. I’ll help you learn the basics as we play, explain rules when they come up, and give you room to learn without feeling like you’re being tested. You don’t need to know what every action, bonus action, reaction, spell slot, or mysterious collection of numbers on your character sheet means before we start.

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
