Description

The Great Galactic war is over. At least, on paper. In the uneasy years following the Treaty of Coruscant, Balmorra stands as one of the galaxy’s most bitterly contested worlds. Captured by the Sith Empire after the Republic was forced to retreat from the planet's surface, the planet’s abundant minerals and factories now churn out weapons, droids and supplies for Imperial war fleets, while its people live under curfews, surveillance, and the constant presence of Sith overseers. Officially, the war is over. On Balmorra, it never truly ended. The Empire’s iron grip is purchased through military governors, Sith apprentices and minor lords hungry for prestige and advancement, and collaborators promised safety in exchange for obedience. But concealed within the margins of the official imperial census and hidden beneath the watchful eyes of Imperial intelligence and Sith alike, the fight for Balmorra continues, carried on by those who remember what freedom felt like, and who are willing to fight, and die for it. They are outgunned, fractured, and hunted, but they are not broken. Players will join this secret war, be they Republic intelligence, Jedi, Resistance members, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters or even turncoats from the Empire, a shared camaraderie binds all together. Missions will decide the fate of supplies, prototype weapons, and entire districts. Every success brings the dawn a little bit closer, while failure may finally allow the Sith Empire to choke the life out of Balmorra. This is a resistance based campaign inspired by Andor set in the time of the Old Republic, played on the Star Wars 5e System!  Game Details: Session Time: Tuesdays, 8PM EST System: SW5E  Party Size: 3-5  $20 Weekly on Startplaying

Ever since I picked up that DMG 16 years ago, running and playing TTRPGs have been my primary passion! I love nothing more than developing and exploring the worlds and stories I build with my players.

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Paid game

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The mists hide a world plundged into darkness for centuries. A dark lord has control of this cursed land. Those who are strong can escape the mists. Hello all, I am Michael.  I am starting a new campaign playing within the world of Ravenloft. This a gothic horror story that is traumatic and a fun time. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. So if you enjoy a fun and scary time at the virtual table then this is the game for you. Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors I have not chosen a day and time so if some players have a specific request we may be able to work it out. Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag adventurers. Unravel villain motivations, fend off living and undead threats that haunt the land, and confront one of the most famous villains. Strahd Von Zarovich. This campaign uses the best of the plot lines of Curse of Strahd: Reloded rounded out with additional materials, and characters backstories. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in. Pirates of Saltmarsh

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
This campaign is a different take on the module of "Ghosts of the Saltmarsh." We will be playing through the adventures in the module with character driven storylines. This is a naval campaign that will be taking place in waters of Faerun. So your character should have some connection to islands or the water. This campaign will take you down the path of piracy, political mystique, and underwater discovery. A mix of heavy combat, mystery solving, and medium roleplay. Character interaction is encouraged, but full on voices are not required. High Seas, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag mercenaries to local heroes. Unravel political plots, fend off living and undead deep-sea threats, and confront eldritch cults. This campaign uses the best of the adventures in Ghosts of Saltmarsh rounded out with additional materials. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in.
