Welcome to Quant, a sprawling, multicultural megatropolis built upon the skeletal remains of a forgotten deity. Existing at the exact crossroads of the multiverse, Quant is a free city that connects every plane of existence.
For two centuries, the planar portals have been perfectly stable. But crossing them is a deadly gamble. For those not blessed with your gift, stepping into the chaotic energy of the Rift between space and time can mean horrific mutilation, massive time-jumps or - if you're lucky - death.
Fortunately, you are Riftborn, blessed with the ability to traverse the planes - highly sought after by the rich and powerful. And on this most glorious of days, you have returned to Quant, for business, pleasure or maybe a bit of both. Either way, you're stuck here for the next few days as the city celebrates the founding of Quant and, as tradition dictates, the portals have closed for the duration.
However, 200 years of planar stability is a fragile thing and there are many forces at play as the festival is in full swing. Your special talents are about to make you the most valuable assets in the multiverse.
