Description

You are an Initiate, a student at the prestigious Academy Arcanum. Yet unlike the other students, you've been hand-selected to study under Professor Thorne. The academy's most knowledgeable Weaver and a notorious pariah among its faculty. What will you learn under him each semester? More importantly...What secrets is Professor Thorne hiding? Welcome to the Arcanum Academy, one of the greatest centers of magical learning in Ithyra. Here, magic is not merely something to cast it is something to understand, question, and reshape. As Initiates, you will study the Weave, uncover strange magical theories, take on quest for the realm, learn to alter spells beyond their traditional limits, and eventually craft a magical item of your own design. Between lessons, you'll compete against rival students, test your abilities in arcane competitions, form friendships and rivalries, and discover that even the most prestigious academy has secrets buried beneath its halls. Set within the high-fantasy world of Ithyra, Prodigies of the Weave blends ancient magic with aetherpunk innovation, a world where arcane theory and magical technology are beginning to change what people believe magic can accomplish. But the more you learn, the more questions arise. What is the Weave truly capable of? Why have certain magical theories been forgotten? And why does it seem that the academy and its faculty are hiding something from its students? This campaign is for players who enjoy character driven stories, magical discovery, exploration, and meaningful choices. My style is heavily narrative and choice focused. Your decisions shape your relationships, your education, your reputation, and ultimately the direction of the story. There isn't always a single correct path, and the world will respond to the choices you make. Come prepared to attend classes, experiment with magic, compete with your peers, make mistakes, uncover mysteries, and decide for yourselves what kind of weavers you want to become. The Weave has rules. Magic has limits. You are here to discover what happens when you challenge both.

The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.

So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.

Welcome to a campaign that embraces classic high-fantasy adventure, full of wonder, camaraderie, and the thrill of discovery. Above all, this table is a safe and welcoming space for every kind of player. Whatever your background, whoever you are, you can set your worries aside and step into a journey full of fantasy and mystery alongside friends old and new. This adventure is also especially crafted for beginners, those who don't yet know much about the world of Dungeons & Dragons or the system that ties it all together. I'll be right there to guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never rolled a d20 in your life or you're a returning adventurer, Phandalin has a place for you at its table. 🏳️‍🌈 Safe and Welcoming Space This table is built on respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience with tabletop RPGs. Whether you're rolling your very first d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll find a friendly group ready to share an unforgettable story together. The goal is simple: make sure every player feels comfortable, heard, and excited to take part in the adventure. 🗡️ A Classic Call to Adventure Step into one of Dungeons & Dragons' most beloved adventures and discover why Phandalin has become such an iconic destination. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unfolds into a tale of forgotten legends, ambitious villains, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries. Along the way, you'll meet memorable allies and dangerous foes while exploring a vibrant corner of the Forgotten Realms filled with history, intrigue, and opportunity. ⛰️ Exploration and Discovery Adventure lies beyond every winding trail and weathered doorway. Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining?
