Description

Good day everyone, I am seeking some players for a Chronicles game based on a small fictional island in the UK. The Premise The game will be set in a remote and eccentric university in 1946 England, where the players will be attending. They will start the game as regular mortals and will be exposed to various oddities and strangeness on the isle, putting them in contact with various occult based groups. Eventually this may lead to the players learning magic in a system similar to WoD Sorcerers as they delve deeper into the magic and mysteries of the strange land they now study in. The Time There no specific time set for the game, but I am planning for it to be around 18:00 GMT on Tuesdays, weekly. I am however very open to working with my players to figure out a time that works for everyone. How to Contact If this post interests you please shoot me a message here or on Discord so we can chat and see if you’re a good fit for the game. Can’t wait to hear from you all :)

Do you feel sensations that you can't explain? Have you seen things that no one else seemed to notice? Have you had strange experiences that are difficult to talk about? We're here to listen The Frederick Anomalous Experiences Support Group is a confidential peer-support group for people who have experienced unusual or unexplained events in and around the Frederick, Maryland Area No judgment. No diagnosis. No explanations required. Meetings are free and confidential. Whatever is happening to you, you don't have to deal with it alone. Please reach out to Dr. Branden L. Mulligan to see about meeting times and places ------------------------------------------------------- What is ‘7-Years Bad Luck’? ‘7-Years Bad Luck’ is a Chronicle of Darkness Game designed to evolve as players play. You begin as ordinary people living in and around the Frederick area. You have all experienced weird phenomena that you can't explain and found others who have experienced similar things. Together, you are members of a small, mostly online support group where you can talk about the things no one else would believe and reassure one another that you're not going crazy. What to expect from the game? This is a character-focused game where relationships, friendships, trust, conflict, and the connections between characters matter. The story begins as a horror-thriller built around a slowly unraveling mystery. As you discover what's actually happening, those revelations may change the game's direction, its genre, and even your character. Your decisions matter, particularly early in the story. There isn't a single predetermined path through the campaign. How your character responds to what happens can open entirely different possibilities, and even death doesn't necessarily end a character's story. Expect mystery, horror, interpersonal drama, difficult decisions, strange situations, and plenty of opportunities simply to let your characters be people. What can I play? Your character can be almost any ordinary human living in or around the Frederick area. More information will follow, but they should have a life: friends, family, relationships, ambitions, mistakes, hobbies, a career, things they care about in this world. Most importantly, they should be someone you'd enjoy getting to know and playing as their life becomes. Your character begins generally unaware of the supernatural world. Occult knowledge is perfectly fine, but at the beginning it consists of things like folklore, urban legends, conspiracy theories, religious traditions, or paranormal beliefs rather than knowledge that monsters are actually real. Supernatural merits are not acceptable at character creation When and where is the game being held? Tuesdays, online through Discord

Start Playing link : https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrxzii1k00a9jr04ev58nj36?slug=cmmar8n4o00t4l7040hi3laio Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a linked, sandbox campaign using The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E, where a journey begun beside a warm hearth in Bree may carry your Company far across Middle-earth. Rumours from the North Downs draw you onto roads less trodden, through forgotten ruins and into lands still haunted by the memory of Angmar. All the while, Goblins scurry in the deep places of the world, Wild Men heed the call of a white hand, and Elves pass solemnly along the East Road. The dead and the living cling to a past they cannot relinquish, while proud lords lend an ear to promises of power. Slowly, the troubles and grief of distant places enter your own story, and a wider Shadow begins to fall across your doorstep. And still there is time to meditate on unknown calamities, to exchange whispers by torchlight, and to give the matter of second breakfast its due consideration. Along the way, an unlikely companion becomes a dear friend, a stranger’s troubles become your own, and a place scarcely marked upon a map becomes somewhere you hope to see again. As the paths grow darker, these attachments give your choices their weight. Mercy may prove costly, courage may go unnoticed, and a small kindness may be remembered long after the Company has passed. Such things may travel further than you know. Your journey shares a living Middle-earth with my Thursday campaign, A Shadow Moves in the Dark. Through the Robin’s Roost, a quiet haven for trusted friends of the Free Peoples, letters, warnings, rumours and half-finished notes may pass between fellowships walking different roads. A discovery made by one Company may help another survive; a failure in one part of the world may send danger spilling into another. Each fellowship has its own tale, while the Shadow they face moves before the Wise fully understand its shape. Expect rich roleplay, meaningful journeys, layered mysteries and dangerous choices, with room to linger, form friendships and become invested in what happens to the world around you. You need neither a scholar’s knowledge of Tolkien nor previous experience with the system; I’ll help you find your feet. Bring curiosity, consideration for your companions, and a willingness to follow a story whose course your choices will help shape. TCR is D&D 5e with re-balances to make it more fair and fun. we operate like an MMO, you simply create your character then you can sign up to join any quest. you keep all loot and level up after each quest. You can have multiple characters if you want to try different set up out. We have 13 classes with a total of 170+ subclasses. We have re-worked the races and plan to add more as we go. if we dont have something that your looking for let us know :D We use discord for voice and Foundry VTT for battle maps, rules and character creation. The VTT is heavily modified to be easier to use and more automated so you can focus more on the combat and roleplaying rather than finding stuff in a clustered system. We have a group of active GM's throwing out quests on a weekly basis. Alot of these quests are also part of a larger quest series that lets you delve into more lore and investigations. Contact me if you wish to know more or join our discord! https://discord.gg/yGRMnh8cXg
