Description

There are no stars, only heroes! Welcome! We will be running a long-term hybrid homebrew 5e D&D campaign and writing project which will eventually be published online weekly called Pinnacle (stylized ?innacle), with two available slots open! Our five-person group is tight-knit and we are hoping for friends rather than casual players that leave right after sessions. It will be strictly done on Discord in text format Monday or Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM - 10 PM EST. It will also be a collaborative effort, with an emphasis on player participation in both world-building and consequent lore. The campaign will be split into alternating arcs: one taking place in the past and one in the present!  We have a compendium, timeline and calendar with some guidelines on the in-game universe constructed so far along with a few requirements for applying:
  • Must be 25+, LGBTQIA+ inclusive
  • Lives on U.S. East Coast
  • No use of AI tolerated
  • Be very comfortable with improvisation and collaboration
  • Engaged and committed to the experience through participation beyond during sessions
  • Experienced in and leans towards a more RP-heavy style
  • Extensive reading comprehension skills
  • Previous D&D experience (not a dealbreaker)
  • Lean towards more cerebral/thought provoking themes and clues
Perks will include tons of art of your character, printed books, shirts and more! We will be asking for a filled out form for a potential character in the campaign. To be considered, you must integrate official lore or your application will be disregarded. The more creative, the better!  Please consider the following too when creating this character:
  • In a meta-sense, they will be regarded in present part of the campaign as a legendary hero in the campaign-titular guild Pinnacle.
  • The environment is resource-scarce due to desertification and has led to intense competitiveness and individuality. Well-knit communities not based on economic drive are rare.
  • The party currently consists of a tiefling bard, human cleric, half sea-genasi/half sea-elf paladin and a high-elf sorcerer. Do not try to min-max or optimize your role for the team as it’s all about the story.
  • Lore comes first so do not worry about stats or a character sheet yet!
Upon advancing, we will be holding an additional phase where we will be doing a one-shot campaign to see how you mesh with the other players in the group and the DM style. Good luck and feel free to shoot me a message if you are willing to read the material and fill out the form. We are aware this will be a lengthy process but hopefully a fun and fulfilling exercise for any interested! ❤️

Divine Right to Rule - A Small Westmarch PBP

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
This continent-spanning campaign takes place in 535 PA. In the wake of a war that is still relatively recent, tensions are high between the countries of Ingentes. Banditry has been rising to alarmingly common levels, Druidic and Arcane magic is outlawed and seen a "Witchcraft" by the Holy Elysian Chamber, and no matter where you go, fear of the other countries and monsters that lurk in the dark is prevalent. This negativity is exactly what the forces that would destroy Ingentes need to spark the fires of war. In this campaign, each player makes their own character and their own decisions. I have an overarching storyline, but there are plenty of branching paths and objectives that allow the heroes to do as they please. Forming a group among yourselves can be expected, but if any of you want to form a splinter group or go on a solo adventure, that's allowed too! This campaign features hack-and-slash adventure, dungeon crawling, mysteries, and political intrigue. There's something for everyone in this campaign, and a full map to explore with a campaign that's written as you progress! To make this easier for everyone, this is a playbypost campaign, a text-based adventure over Discord with no official start or stop: I'll be regularly available almost every day to DM.

New to D&D? Heroes of Phandalin Beginner Campaign

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
$15/ session: Click here to sign up or learn more Bi-weekly / Thursday - 6:30 PM CDT This is a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons campaign set in the frontier town of Phandalin. You’ll start at level 1, take on local quests, explore ruins, deal with monsters, and gradually uncover a larger threat tied to the region. The campaign blends open-ended adventures with a growing story, so you’ll always have direction—but your choices matter. Built for New Players No experience needed. This game is designed to teach you as you play: Step-by-step guidance during sessions Help with character creation Rules explained in plain language A supportive, low-pressure table Worried About Starting? I’ve Been There. “I’m not creative enough” You don’t need to be. Just decide what your character does. “I attack.” “I search the room.” That’s enough. The flavor comes naturally over time. “I don’t know the rules” You’re not expected to. We’ll handle that together. The only rule that matters at the table: keep the game moving and have fun. “I’ll feel awkward roleplaying” No voices required. You can simply describe what your character says or does. Roleplay is about decisions, not acting. “I don’t know how to build a good character” You don’t need an optimized build. Fun, interesting characters matter more than perfect ones—and I’ll help you every step of the way. What to Expect A mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay Clear guidance without slowing the game down A campaign that starts simple and grows in depth A story shaped by your decisions The Only Thing You Need to Bring: A willingness to try. This isn’t about winning—it’s about building a story together.
