GURPS Super Heroes – Dispatch-Inspired

Hi.  I run a game on Discord, Tuesday nights, 7 PM Eastern.  It’s a fantasy game…sometimes.  It’s sci-fi set in Shanghai…well, maybe next week.  It was a western a week ago, I think, or was that gothic horror? The game has you as a special agent, traveling to alternate histories for a massive, multi-reality travel agency.  Because all possibilities are possible, you can be whatever you want (within reason, about as powerful as an X-Man/Teen Titan and you must appear as human or at least as something that’s common in reality like a squirrel or something).  Our group has a Fae cowboy, and a dieselpunk femme fatale.  In the past we've had robots, intelligent sand, hive-mind insect swarms and so on.  You come up with the concept and we’ll make it happen.  We prefer your character appear human-like or at least be something one would see in reality (a cat or at least something that could wear a holo projector to appear human). The game uses GURPS – a very old, crunchy and confusing game engine.  However, you will not have to do anything, just tell me what you want & I do the numbers.  I (the GM) am so backwards that we do not use AI or software.  I use a paper map and puppets. A bit about the group.  We may have one person, maybe more, leaving and we need a replacement.  This is not set in stone & cannot guarantee this will happen.  The group is mostly younger (20’s-30’s) & mostly women.  Therefore, I would prefer anyone joining to be a woman or at the very least not be weird about it.  This will get you immediately banned.  Please be nice and professional. We’re looking for the following: Foremost is a good personality and a sense of humor (not “my friends think I’m funny"), like actually funny and personality means to have one.  You can be shy and awkward, but don’t bring the mood down.  Next is consistency.  We’d prefer someone that can show up.  We play once per week, and you will need to consider that if you feel it will be an issue.  Finally, we are Newb friendly and pro LGBT.  All we ask that you don’t be a jerk.   We do sometimes say naughty words and drink adult beverages.  Well, at least I do.  This is actually a very special thing we have going on so please take that in consideration.   It's not your average game.   I'd suggest listening in first & you can make up your mind from there.  I’d suggest filling out the questionnaire or you can reach out to me directly at @yeroldpalwill. Campaign is called Enemy in Shadows and the idea in here is to uncover the ever looming and growing Cult that is defying the existence of Sigmar and religition around Him. You are just a band of traverlers that merged together on a minor quest to Altdorf at first but then, whatever happens', happens'. Hey everyone! We are a group of 4 players, who have come together to tackle the first and most difficult quest of all: find a GM... to then hopefully tackle many more! A little about us as a group: We are all in our mid-20s+ and come from different parts of Europe. We know each other for very different amounts of times (from childhood friends, playing together for around 1 year all the way to just joining together for this group), but we have played some sessions together so we built some chemistry together! Everyone has played a little bit, but most of us have only recently started playing PF2E. What are we looking for?: We are mostly looking to have a fun time with some nice mix of RP and combat. Basically just a pretty standard game. We are very open and excited to run through almost any AP or homebrew setting you feel like running! Only exceptions would be AV and SoT as Faraday knows those already Quick inidividual player rundown: Bread: Mostly ok with a lot of things mechanically but strictly prefers to play melee frontline classes. Not new to TTRPGs but very new to Pathfinder. I can get very invested in the story and love to roleplay and fight according to the story. Faraday/John: The most experienced with PF2E of the group. Note taker, plot hook follower who knows the shiny red button sometimes needs to be pushed, fun loving guy. Also hates having Charisma as a dump stat Wadoder: Also has a lot of experience with different TTRPGS, but only recently got into Pathfinder (after I gave him the final push and recruited him). He can come up with some very crazy and chaotic characters and you often wont know what hes up to next Advocate (me): I recently found my love for PF2E, its crunchier rules and especially the character customization. I mostly enjoy playing spellcasters, especially the Witch followed by Summoner!
