Apply Here Log in to view About The World The First Creation The World Began when the First God Numen awoke from a deep slumber, having dreamed of creation and decided to put it into action. Numen, always in a half-awake half-asleep stupor was unable to fully remember what it was he was meant to create, and as such he decided it would be best to create those that could help. Numen quite literally picked his brain for the answer, breaking a piece of his brain and forming it into another being entirely. He first created Calx, The God of Stone, who understood innately that he was to help Numen make his dream reality. He created the foundation of the World, He crafted the World Stones that would determine the land over periods of time, as well as the Planet's core, when he completed this he knew that his work was done and told Numen as much. Numen second created Mare, The Goddess of Water, she too understood her job. Looking upon what Calx had completed, she filled the planet with Water atop the World Plates. She told Numen following this that her task was complete and that time would be necessary for more to be done. Numen, impatient as he was to remember his dream, picked three more pieces of his brain, that became Praeter, God of the Past, Praesens, God of the Present and Relicuos God of the Future. The three brothers had different eyes, Praeter could only see what had been, Praesens could only see what was, and Relicuos could only see what would be. Praesens, the only one anchored to what was in front of them, often had to guide his brothers holding their hands so they did not stumble as they were blind to the current time. They used their powers to forward time in order to cause the World Plates to begin moving something that Calx did not even realize he had set in motion and they began to break against each other. The brothers, knowing their work was done, informed Numen Numen created the Vis, Goddess of Nature and Life and Ignis God of Fire. Vis was tasked with creating the life that populated the World, Ignis was tasked with creating Light that could guide their way as well as nourish the plants that could thereafter nourish other life creating cycles. Ignis first created the Sun then Vis started her task of creating life. While Vis created life, and as the forests and grasslands populated the world Numen remembered that living things would need to breathe and created Aura, Goddess of Air. Numen remembered that as a Gift to the Gods that helped him realize his dream, He would have Vis work with them to add intelligent life to the world. Numen, growing tired, remembered that every dream must come to an end and picked the last piece of his brain before going back to sleep. Lecturn God of Death was created and oversaw the deaths of life as they happened an inevitable end for all living creatures. Leturn was almost immediately despised by the other Gods even though they all knew he simply did the work Numen had left him. Second Creation While Numen slept, The Gods did not idle in his absence; they had their own stories unravel as part of a second creation. Each of them found themselves not being able to live proper lives on Numens World and decided to make their own. The Three Brothers could not find a way to exist in a beneficial way and thus they created the first of other worlds, They created Paradox, A world where time flowed freely and indecisively in such a way as to allow all three brothers to see in their realm properly without needing to lean on one another for guidance. Calx and Ignis created a World below the main one together, that they called Brimstone Depths, It was a Land that only had Land and Flames and lava that flowed instead of water. They both naturally seemed to like this place better than the main world. Aura and Mare created a World above the main world together that they called Horizon. It was difficult to call it a land, Mare used her dominion over waters to create clouds that they walked across and Aura connected them by way of Air Bridges. Vis created her own land called the Untethered Lands. She believed she wanted a place where life could truly run free of rules and as such creatures from her realm could not die and would simply be remade in her lands if they were native there. She created the God-Heart in the Untethered Lands which allowed the Gods to create their own children through it in order to make new Gods that could populate new lands as well as other creatures. Lecturn being shunned by the other Gods created Last Rest, The place where the dead would be judged for their actions. Lecturn had his own sense of Justice and he simply did his duty by making mortals die, and as such he could not abide by what Vis had created. War Between Gods The War of the Divine started after the Second Creation, Lecturn could not abide by the God-Heart's Existence going against the natural order, He poisoned the God-Heart which created a horrific deity known as Graveheart, God of Undeath who created the first risen dead. This caused the first war between Gods as hatred spewed forth. Lecturn's Followers were blamed for his actions and the other Gods had their followers lead crusades in order to attempt to eradicate his worship. This only fueled Graveheart's power as more lives were lost and he became more and more capable as Lecturn's followers turned to him instead of their former God for help. Graveheart's risen armies amassed and began to strike down many of the Holy Armies that hunted Lecturn's followers, and only Lecturn's power could defeat Graveheart by providing true death to the Undead Enemies. The Graveheart Crisis Once Known as the Immortal God-Heart that served as the foundation of the everchanging undying Untethered Lands, It was poisoned by the God of Death Lecturn. It was cast out into the World and drew all continents into one where it began to fester and destroy the land. The Continent began to Decompose and living things began to rot and rise again to kill other living beings in an effort to infect them with the same disease that the Graveheart has, and seek only to destroy. Many live in fear of those infected by the disease but some still seek to reclaim their world, You seek to reclaim this dying world. The Graveheart Poison The Poison that the Graveheart infects the World with is known as the Decay, Once infected with it, It varies how long an individual can survive with it. The Poison itself oftentimes does not kill it's victims but rather will simply mark them as they will rise again when they do eventually die. It is a simple matter to check if someone is infected, The veins on their back around where their heart would be become heavily visible as if Dark Bleeding lines were drawn on the person's back. While the Decay does not always outright kill a Person, It will make a Person lose more survival instincts, Such as they will start to not feel hunger or thirst and it is not unheard of for people infected to accidently starve or die of dehydration while infected and rise again. About Me If you got this far your a trooper! My name is Jay, I am 25 he/him, I have posted this before and will repost each day until Friday, This doesn't mean you have been chosen mind you. New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again. grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...
