Unrest can be felt throughout the town of Phandalin, but not all is what it seems; perhaps more than goblin and man's greed, threatens the town.. β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ Adventures aren't always simple let alone straight forward, sometimes there's a misstep, sometimes something else comes along throws things into a spiral; and some times, there's something that lays in wait for the prefect moment to strike.. This just may be one of those moments, a seemingly simple job to escort a wagon to a the quaint little town of Phandlin, for a dwarven patron, 10gp to each person who delivers he supplies without fail to the owner of Barthen's Provisions; simple, straight forward, though not all is well within the town, and something just beneath the surface begins to make its move.. You can handle goblins and creatures that go bump in the night; but can you handle things from beyond this realm, things that feast on your mind and twist reality? Will you save town that knows not that it needs saving or will you save yourself? β›₯⛧β›₯ Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk takes a classic adventure and reimagines it while also building on it with another adventure that has you deal with creatures of the Underdark and even things from the Far Realms.
