Greetings, I am searching for one player to join an ongoing 5e game that heavily focuses around Steinhardt's guide to the eldritch hunt. The first thing to preface is the timing, the day cannot be changed as all players currently have commitments on all other days of the week, the starting hour could however be moved by an hour if necessary. The next thing anyone interested in should be made aware of is how "existing" the group is. By mid September we will have been playing for a year, though as people have become unavailable we have had one person join us in January and he has been with us longer than he hasn't so I would hope the same could be the case for you.
A few more pieces of housekeeping would be mentioning the current group size. We have been running a group of 5 players for the majority of the campaign with my general ethos being wanting to run unless we have 2 people missing, recently one of the players has had to move to bi weekly and another has left due to simply not being able to make time for the game anymore. That has left us with a part size of 3-4. Hence is the reason for this post, as I would like someone to make take that number back to a party size of 4-5.
With that out of the way, what game would you actually be joining? This campaign uses a lot of material provided by Steinhardt's guide to the eldritch hunt a 5e supplement by Monkey Dm, along with pieces of the additional story Heresy of Steel, all smoothed over with a narrative created by myself and the players. You may take the role of a hunter, a tool against the tide of beasts that plague the once fair city of Luyarnha, one experimented on by the enigmatic Obitus Scholare to be a perfect tool, or perhaps just someone looking to save themselves and those they care about. Maybe you are one of the many magically inclined individuals, one who has their upmost faith in the radiant one, or perhaps you attempt to understand the great ones who's presence lingers through every shadow of the city, all while trying to not go mad yourself. You could even be an unfortunate traveller, one who broke the lockdown on the city and has now been dragged far from home.
Steinhardt's wears it's Bloodborne inspiration on it's sleeve so you can expect a similar similar oppressive atmospheres, deadly beasts and accursed nightmares. Additionally you can expect a setting with the beginnings of modern technology reminiscent of the industrial revolution. You can expect trains, guns and the earliest of cameras, though most people still travel via horses.
