I am looking for players to join a high fantasy campaign set in the world of Elanae on the continent of Galathea using the 2014 ruleset heavily flavored with homebrew. We will play Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm EST This campaign focuses on storytelling and role-playing, so I am seeking friendly, cooperative, and group-oriented players. Please note that rules lawyers and power players are not a fit for this group. I want to emphasize that players are encouraged to think out of the box in regards to spells, abilities, skills, etc. I like to reward risk and inventive application. It may not work, but it's probably worth a try. I also want to apply a good portion of common sense to how "rules" henceforth known as guidelines are applied. I need to speak to you on Discord before you character creation. I am not accepting clerics, artificers, or blood hunters. The next paragraph is open to discussion if you have a favorite race other than those listed. All characters must be human, elven, dwarven, gnome, halfling or half-orc and of a good to neutral alignment; evil alignments are prohibited. All characters begin at level 1, and multiclassing is not permitted. Each character will start with cloth, leather, or studded leather armor, a backpack, and a bag. They can equip themselves with a reasonable cache of mundane items (e.g., torches, rope, pitons). Water is included in rations. Each character will be vetted by the DM before joining the campaign. The players are on a quest to find the origin of the Gods, seeking out old texts, ancient ruins, and secrets beneath the cities. Charcters will be created on D&D Beyond and I am using Foundry VTT v14.363 dnd5e 5.3.3 to run the game. Discord is required for voice chat.
