The Explorer's Guild Chronicles - MOTW One Shots

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Players Wanted Foundry VTT + Discord | Afternoon/Evening PST | One-Shots with Long-Term Campaign Potential - What This Is A series of 4–5 self-contained one-shots set in Eldemyre, my original homebrew world. Each session is a standalone Guild contract. Investigate the anomaly, confront the threat, get out alive. Think Monster of the Week, but with lore running underneath every mission and NPCs who actually remember you were there. These aren't dungeon slogs. Combat has weight because you understand what you're fighting. The Explorer's Guild doesn't just kill things, it understands them. Along the way, you'll get to know the people of Eldemyre as well as each other. My games are typically roleplay and exploration guided. I'm also hoping that players brought in from these one-shots will be able to roll directly into my next grand long-term campaign starting next month! It's set in the same big open homebrew world and will be a chance to really explore characters and their stories. Quick Details 🎲 System: D&D 5e 2024 🖥️ Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord. I'll also provide my DnD Beyond collection for character building. 📅 Format: Standalone one-shots, scheduled individually as each session fills. ⏱️ Session Length: 3–4 hours. ⚔️ Levels: Level 7 (most sessions) | Level 15 (elite contracts, higher stakes) 👥 Party Size: 4–5 players per session 🌅 Time: Afternoon/Evening PST. Some weekend dates available. 📷 Cameras: Optional 🔁 Sign up for one, a few, or all of them - bring one character or try several. The World: Eldemyre Eldemyre is a world still being shaped by a world shattering event taking place over a millennium ago. The magic of the world remains unstable, and many mysteries still are waiting to be unearthed. The Explorer's Guild is the institution that goes where others won't. Part adventuring company, part field research organization, the Guild takes contracts that range from routine to deeply, quietly wrong. You'll work alongside fellow operatives, report to handlers who know more than they tell you, and encounter a world still changing. Each mission drops you into a specific corner of that world. What you do there matters, and could even stick beyond these sessions. About the DM Hi, I'm Austin. Six campaigns. Six Reddit-recruited tables. Many of them are still playing, or still talking, years later. By day I'm a children's game developer; by night I'm a TTRPG nerd who advocates that this game is for anyone and should be shown to everyone. If you'd like a more detailed look at how I run games, I've put together a GM brief. My tables are built on: Character-driven storytelling where your backstory actually matters NPCs with personalities, motivations, and the occasional ridiculous voice Immersive worldbuilding you can poke at Player agency that shapes the direction of the story, not just the outcome of encounters What I'm Looking For 21+ Please! A working computer and microphone capable of handling Foundry and sessions. The best players I've ever played with were always good people first. Be kind, patient, collaborative and respectful. Showing up and engaging with each session. Being consistent in your schedule and your communication. Being very clear if you're having a problem or seeking something out. My games are LGBTQUIA+ friendly, and accommodating to all groups. Discrimination, bigotry, or bullying will have you removed without warning. I've made some great friends running these games, and enjoy socializing and collaborating with players outside of sessions. Hopefully you do as well! Interested? Fill out the short application here: FORM It should only take 5 minutes and makes it so I can form the right groups based on chemistry and availability!

Bread & Honey - A Cozy Fantasy Tavern Running Game

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Seeking 3-4 Players | Weekly Ongoing Campaign | Foundry VTT Seeking players for a cozy collaborative campaign about building and running a fantasy tavern together. Bread & Honey is a rules-light custom RPG focused on tavern management, relationships, and shared storytelling rather than dungeon crawling. NOTE: All materials to play are completely free and provided to all players! I have even custom built the system in Foundry so no pen or paper required! Quick Details System: Bread & Honey (custom cozy tavern RPG) Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord Schedule: One evening per week (Mon / Wed / Thu / Fri options) Start Time: Between 4:30–6:30 PM PST depending on group availability Session Length: 3–4 hours Party Size: 4–5 players Cameras: Optional Start Date: Within the next two weeks. The Campaign The peaceful republic of Kosuda has just survived a costly war with its neighbor, Ironreach. The fighting is over but the people of Kosuda are exhausted, and morale across the region is low. To restore the spirit of the country, the ruling council known as The Hearth launches a simple initiative: Anyone willing to rebuild abandoned land and create something that brings comfort to the people can claim it for cheap. Cha-Ching! A group of hopeful entrepreneurs (you and your fellow players) pool your last remaining coins and purchase a crumbling roadside ruin in Moonglow Vale, a travel route between the capital city and the bustling Bayside Bazaar. The plan? Turn it into a tavern. There’s only one problem. You don’t actually have the money to build it. Fortunately, Uncle Doof, that “friend of the family” who always seems to show up uninvited is willing to loan you the startup funds. Song long as you pay him back, that can't be too hard, right? Now it's up to you and your partners to transform a pile of rubble into a thriving tavern while paying off your debt and discovering your place in the valley. Hi! I'm Austin, your GM. I've run six successful long-term campaigns many of which turned into lasting friendships outside the game. I'm a children's game developer by day and a TTRPG nerd by night, who relishes in taking my players on a journey. My tables emphasize: • character-driven storytelling • strong immersion and worldbuilding • meaningful player agency • collaborative problem solving Every NPC has a personality (and often a ridiculous voice), and player backstories actively shape the direction of the story. Player Expectations Age 21+ Reliable attendance for weekly sessions. A computer and microphone capable of running Foundry VTT and Discord. Players who are kind, collaborative, and respectful. This table is LGBTQIA+ friendly and inclusive. Discrimination or harassment will result in immediate removal. Many players in my games enjoy hanging out and chatting outside of sessions as well, so this group may be a good fit if you're looking for a table that becomes friends over time. Interested? Fill out the application form here: FORM The form is short (about 5 minutes) and helps me build a group with good chemistry.
