Hi there! I'm Frau Elster, 34, located in Hanover, Germany. I have been playing TTRPGs for roughly a year now. It became quite a hyperfixation and thanks to a local open club I've gotten the chance to test some systems and get an idea of what I enjoy in this game. At the moment I really enjoy Daggerheart but I am open to other systems. Ideally, of course, the group vibes and gets along. That's a wish of mine but of course can't be forced. I tend to enjoy smaller groups up to 4, sometimes 5, on a bi-weekly schedule in the evening. I love creating complex characters with a few defining moments already having happened to them to help flesh them out. It didn't happen yet but I'd love to experience what it's like to have a ongoing campaign that weaves in the characters' backgrounds. Usually I have a concept in mind before I create a character and then read through _a lot_ of materials and sources to find the build and world-related backgrounds that fit. For example: My last character (for dagger heart) was a werewolf ranger who became a guerrila fighter because she feels like a advocat on agency and freedom of choice. For DnD, I am in the midst of creating a tabaxi stardruid whose base idea was that she looks like a black jaguar and has the constellations map right there in the spots of her fur. Or I knew I wanted a gnome raised by ice giants who draws her magic from the aurora and can hit really hard and now I have several tabs open haha I enjoy good atmospheric horror and am actually thinking about hosting The Magnus Archive TTRPG. But that's a project for the future. Coming from a theatre background I love roleplay and the chaotic rule of cool being applied more than dungeon crawling, rule crunching and min/max-ing. Social encounters and exploration are big to me. Do you know that one friend who needs to check every question mark in a video game? Yeah that's me (and is also a reason why I love Breath of the Wild. Exploring was very much rewarded in this game.) As a GM I love putting in puzzles but that is always a hit or miss with me as a player. In general I would say I am a bit of a chaotic player who enjoys discussing concepts, impulsive decision making and creative brainstorming with the others. It would be important to me that the players share the spotlight and know how to communicate constructively and mindfully.

Hello all, I'm 25f (she/they) and I'm looking for a group to join to try some new systems! I'm a DM for two DnD games (long-running homebrew & a new group that's tackling Lost Mine of Phandelver, 5e and 5,5e). I've been researching and been interested in a lot of other systems to try and broaden my TTRPG horizons, but I'd like to play under some experienced GMs first before I maybe try GMing them myself. Also, I really miss playing and would like to be part of a group. :D Games I'm looking for and my experience level: - Daggerheart (GMed Sablewood Messengers and know the rule book. Any campaign frame or game length, preferably at least a short campaign is okay!!) - Vampire the Masquerade (absolute newbie, know a little bit but definitely need help & explanation for lore & game) - Powered by the Apocalypse systems (also never played, most interested in Masks & Thirsty Sword Lesbians but would read into others as well!) - Candela Obscura (Read the quickstarter guide and very intrigued) What else I'm looking for: - 100% AI-free games. Non-negotiable. - Preferably a weekly or bi-weekly game on week-nights, sometime between 6pm - 11pm/12am CEST. Being okay with missing a session from time to time because of life! :) (communicated beforehand if possible and not an emergency ofc) - Preferably a one-shot or conversation before the game starts to see if we get along. - Preferably a session 0 to set expectations! - Discord with or without video, any VTT or none, I'm not picky. - Preferably at least a 50-50 ratio male to female or non-binary group! - Respectful & friendly group, LGBTQI+ friendly, no bigotry. - A narrative-focused playstyle (should be a given with those systems I think? Storytelling is what we do and love, isn't it? - Navigating difficult topics is my job since I'm a psychologist, so you can expect me to handle them with care (if we're talking about VtM or Candela). What I can bring to the table: Interesting and unique characters, very active in the game I like interacting with things whether it be other players or NPC's, a team player I know how to share the spotlight, pretty good at improvisation, very good at staying in character, hilarious jokes when the time is right for it of course, willingness to learn new systems and lore, willingness to make new friends, and lots of free time to play. I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! Hey, I'm Matt (or Wayne). I like building characters with actual flaws who make questionable decisions for the sake of a good narrative arc. I tend to get overly invested in fictional worlds, which is probably why I'm here. If you're looking for a player who treats your lore like a casual bedtime story and actually wants to know why the grumpy tavern owner is grumpy, I'm your guy. I'm not really here to crunch numbers into oblivion or argue over combat grid geometry. I'm way more interested in the messy, collaborative storytelling part of things. Think less tactical strike force and more chaotic found family trying to survive the plot. So yeah, if your table leans heavily into deep roleplay, exploring the setting, and letting characters actually talk to each other before things inevitably blow up, we'll probably get along great. I am a dnd veteran and mostly forever DM, but I am super intrigued by the storytelling element and character creation freedom of Daggerheart (plus I love Critical Role). I've played D&D off & on for years, but I still feel very new to the game, especially as online part of it goes. I'm only so-so with role-playing, I'm more of a 'my character does/says' kind of guy than accents or garb. Even as I say that, there are three stories that I'd love to find a group to play with through them, as a character: Phandelver to Wildspace (just play thru modules from 0-Spelljammer), TMNTortles of Ravnica (self explanatory & probably heavily DM brewed), & Uprising in Undermountain... they all vary in brew necessity, but the latter one is a big goal I hope to achieve... a full run through current Undermountain, from the inside out as monstrous people trying to make things a little less wrong, while using the setting that is D&D's largest (afaik) dungeon, & it even has a couple dragons in it. Hello everyone! my name is Blair, and I am a player looking for more games to play! my schedule just recently opened up, and i need to roll dice and tell some stories! a bit about me: a bulk of my TTRPG experience comes from playing 2014, but i do have experience playing other systems as well, such as Candela Obscura, Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and I've even played a homebrew version of DND. when it comes to me as a player, i do tend to play spellcasters, it just intrigues me a lot more than the martial classes, and when I do play martial classes, i always give them limited magic. I'm also a pretty respectful tablemate, i try to give my fellow players a chance to get involved. along with that, I do engage in romance, both PC and NPC, just depends on whether or not the table is down with that! oh, speaking of romance, i am Queer and trans! with the world that we exist in, I find that it is better for my table to know that upfront than learn that not only am I not cis but also, I like both boys and girls, it's just a fact of life. with that you must be a Queer and trans friendly table as well as a disabled friendly table since I am disabled as well! now to move onto a gm I would prefer: typically, how I'd parse out a potential good GM for me to play under, is I'd do a one-shot with them and see if we're a good fit, and if we can have good conversation, but considering the nature of a post like this, I am willing to forego that! that being said, you still need to have the following: be America-based and even more specifically be CST-based- since I am based in North America, I just can't do uber late games. it's not good for my mental health, and it causes me to be a terrible person for responding to DMs. RP skills - this doesn't mean that you shouldn't at least try to incorporate combat in your sessions but i need those RP skills sharpened to the max! homebrew vs. Module - I am willing to play a module but i would prefer a homebrew world. it shows that you are more than willing to be flexible with your players' stories and want to share that creativity with the world at large. recording vs basic home game - I am very okay and do consent to a recorded game, considering i have been in a few actual plays! that, however, does not mean that i will turn my nose up at a basic home game, in fact that is one of my favorites!

I've been interested in TTRPG for many years but recently only gained the courage to actually try to play. I have a myriad of characters, some a little more homebrew than others, and prefer storytelling focused games with intensive worldbuilding. Characters: Chara: Half-Bronze dragon sorceress Kerian Kane: Half Elf warrior/paladin (has a bit of a homebrew mechanic) Thadeus "Pony" Goodman: Centaur ranger Rowd: Hound Archon paladin Maggs Madds: Faun bard Koimarra: Sphinx rogue, no magical abilities. (I've toned down the default sphinx stats to make her a fair challenge. She is essentially a cat shaped human who doesn't want to fly during combat because that makes you a big target and calls attention to you. She prefers not existing.)

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

Sys‑Error here — lifelong nerd, full‑time family man, and someone who’s been wandering fantasy worlds since before Al Gore “invented” the internet. I’ve been playing D&D for a long time, but I’m not a rules lawyer and I’m not here to “win” anything. I’m here for the journey, the story, and the fun. I’m a creative player who loves building characters with depth and hooks, tossing ideas around with the DM, and still keeping enough distance to be genuinely surprised when those hooks get tugged. I enjoy RP‑heavy moments, I enjoy combat, and I’m happiest at a balanced table where people “yes‑and” each other and treat both story and tactics as part of the same adventure. My character sheet tool of choice is D&D Beyond, and I’m open to any VTT the group prefers. I do love my characters — I just don’t cling to them. Most of the time they start out as barely‑qualified nobodies anyway, closer to “NPC farmer #3” than anything resembling a hero. The joy for me is watching who they become. And if Ghu wills it and the Raven Queen plucks that thread from the tapestry, I’ll happily let Asmodeus devour their soul and roll up the next poor fool destined for greatness… or at least destined for the next tavern brawl. Some of my best memories in this hobby are the deaths of my characters, because the story around those moments was worth it. I’m looking for a long‑arc campaign — something that could run for years if the dice gods allow it. I’m adaptable if the game is already in motion, and I’ve got enough character concepts on standby to slot into whatever the table needs to keep the story alive and thriving. I don’t have hang‑ups. Anything goes at my table except two things: not having fun and real‑world drama. If I’m playing D&D, I’m having fun — and the real world can wait outside until the session’s over. Now for the part that might turn you off from offering me a seat at your table, but I’d rather be upfront than waste anyone’s time. I can only play at night after dinner. My days are packed, and right after work I’m fully locked in on family — which means I don’t touch shiny math rocks until around 7–7:30pm Eastern. I’m also not built for marathon sessions; four hours is pushing it unless you want to watch me slowly transform into a sleep‑deprived NPC who only speaks in Constitution checks. I’m hoping to find folks who put family first, understand real‑life schedules, and don’t mind that we’re all juggling adulthood like it’s a cursed magic item with disadvantage on time management. Ukrainian who somewhat recently moved to Sweden so don't expect perfect Swedish from me. Don't have too much experience with TTRPGs but am willing to learn. Played a ton of BG3 and a few custom Text RPGs before so can play by post. To be honest just trying to meet new people :)

I go by Elf. Any/All pronouns.I started playing tabletops back in 2017. First 5E, then Pathfinder, and now Daggerheart is my go-to game. I've been playing since the beta in 2024, I enjoy how the system encourages creativity from the GM and the players, how you can add "flavor" to the games spells, weapons, etc. I could go on and on about why I love this game, but I have a profile to write. I'm also a roleplayer and a writer. I often roleplay with friends over Discord, and have wrote a few stories, though most of them are sitting on my desktop. I like coming up with fun characters. Some take inspiration from The Elder Scrolls or RWBY or ZZZ. One of my recent characters was inspired by Fate. Never watched, but I liked the design/concept. I tend to get ideas that sometimes explode out of me. Next thing you know, I'm openining up a character sheet. So hours. A weekly game would be ideal. I'm kind of a night owl. My time zone is EST. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, I'm available for games from 6 PM to 6 AM the next day. Wednesdays, I'm available from 1 AM (technically Thursday, but you get the idea) to 6 AM. Friday and Saturday, I'm available from 8 PM to 6 AM. Sunday is usually my busy day. Sometimes this changes, but not enough to where I can commit to a Sunday game. For late night games, I can always get some caffeine in me to keep myself awake. I've done so before. It shouldn't be a problem if we're only playing once or twice a week. One last thing to mention: I sometimes use a voice changer for roleplaying purposes to sound a certain way when speaking as my character. As mentioned above, I love roleplaying and sometimes get really into it. This is comepletly optional, however, and I don't need it if it'll be too distracting. I can turn it on and off with a press of a key. So that's it. I look forward to hearing from you.

If I had to describe myself as a player I would say that I like the 60% roleplaying and 40% combat distribution. I love to get to know the different characters and NPCs and dig into the lore of the world and I also enjoy puzzles. I am a 25 year old Polish-American currently living in Krakow who has been playing DND since I was 12, with my first game being 3.5e, and most time schedules work for me! Since then I have been playing DND on and off, mostly DMing over the years. I also have some (not much) experience with Daggerheart and PF2e, alongside PF1e though I don't wish to play that. Recently I have gotten back into it because I'm gonna be honest, I feel super fucking lonely. I typically prefer Roleplay focused games with players who want to relax and get into character, though I also enjoy a challenge when I play TTRPGs. If I do get into a DND game specifically, I will not play a wizard, druid, or cleric, as all three of those subclasses are highly same-y and boring to me, though I'll happily play any build in other TTRPGs.
