Description

Steel Age is a tragic fantasy tabletop RPG set in the fractured land of Dyrhal, an early medieval setting three generations after the fall of its last empire. This is a human-focused fantasy game about survival, consequence, fatigue, connection, and meaningful struggle in the ruins of empire. It is not heroic fantasy or a power-fantasy campaign. Combat is dangerous, injuries matter, fatigue erodes your ability to keep fighting, and victory often comes with a cost. The game uses 2d6 resolution and I can provide:
  • the current rules packet
  • quick-reference aids
  • a starter setting
  • a ready-to-run starter module
I’m looking for players interested in helping test a game with a strong tragic fantasy identity and giving honest feedback on clarity, pacing, and play experience. Platform: Discord  VTT: Not required  Timezone: US Eastern (EST/EDT)  Likely play times: weekend daytime Eastern, evening EU Format: Closed playtest / starter adventure No prior knowledge of the system is needed. I’m mainly looking for people open to a grounded fantasy game where tension, cost, and consequence matter. If this sounds interesting, feel free to reach out and I can share more details.

Been in love with games and their rules since I was a kid. I am currently developing a tragic fantasy TTRP - Steel Age, set in the unique setting of Dyrhal. I firmly believe that the best games are where consequence and uncertain outcome are central.

LOOKING FOR 3–5 PLAYERS — IN-PERSON TTRPG PLAYTEST Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka, with the Montgomery area also an option Format: In-person tabletop RPG Genre: Fantasy adventure Experience: None required — new and experienced players welcome Character Creation: Required as part of the playtest. You'll be building your own character rather than having me build one for you. I'll be available to answer rules questions, but I specifically want to see how well a new player can navigate character creation on their own. Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: UNBOUND, a custom TTRPG system I'm developing I'm looking for 3–5 players to help playtest UNBOUND, an anti-essentialist, leveled point-buy TTRPG built around one idea: Build the character you actually want to play, instead of choosing a class and being told what that character is supposed to be. UNBOUND doesn't lock you into traditional class archetypes. You build your character through Build Points, Perks, Limitations, and attributes, allowing you to develop in whatever direction fits your concept. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a percentage-based damage reduction system. Magic is intentionally flexible, and healing isn't restricted to one dedicated “healbot” class. The goal of the playtest is to actually put these ideas through their paces at a real table — see what works, find what doesn't, and have some fun while we're doing it. No prior experience with TTRPGs is necessary. You don't need to know any systems going in; character creation is part of the playtest, and I'll walk everyone through it. The Player's Guide, GM's Guide, and Martial Arts Handbook are already available on the UNBOUND Discord. Send me a message and I'll give you an invite so you can look them over before deciding whether you'd like to play. Interested? Message me. Even if you're curious but not sure yet, feel free to reach out and ask questions.

Where: Discord/Roll20 Seattle. 2073. You are a group of experienced shadowrunners who have made a name for yourselves in this corrupt city. For those who can afford it, you have already tipped the scales in local affairs a few times now. Your list of allies and enemies grows by the month. A Mr. Johnson who works for Ares Macrotechnology's local R&D department has approached you for a job. He wants his boss's position, and he needs your help doing it. The job? Infiltrate one of the AAA megacorp's testing facilities in the Cascade Mountains, steal the sole existing blueprints for a new weapon, escape, and turn them in to Mr. Johnson. Then he will play the hero once he produces the blueprints a week later, making his boss look massively incompetent in the process. It's a simple job. In and out. What could go wrong? -- This Shadowrun game presents a more streamlined version of the 4e rules to retain all the tactics, equipment, and buckets of dice that you've come to love. But at the same time, it's leaner and faster (and also less broken). If you wish to know more, the full rules are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyMJ9Xmd7rTAlt_0VMhCrAM1RgVQj6JiHhzABUqLEaE/edit?usp=sharing Rules will be taught in media res, though some SR experience is a plus. We will play for 60-90 minutes, take a 10-15 minute break once you make your plan, and then finish the rest of the 4-hour session. This is a one-shot playtest for a game I'll be running at a convention in a few weeks. Be aware that the rules are still in alpha, so there could be some roughness. But I assure you that these rules are still a lot smoother than the official ones. If you ever wanted to play Shadowrun but were put off by the official rules, this game is for you! If you're interested in playing, please apply here. We're still looking for a couple more players.

I am looking for 3–4 players for an open-ended campaign set in the Gundam Universal Century timeline!  we will use Owlbear About the Campaign: Timeline: Starting during the One Year War (OYW) and continuing for as long as the story takes us—until the squad either falls in battle or decides to retire. Player Choice Matters: Your starting faction, objectives, and assets will be dictated by the choices you make as a group. You have the power to change the course of UC history or become another victim of its tragedy. Sandbox & Dynamic Storytelling: This is a heavy sandbox campaign. I love building the world around player motivations and goals. Some sessions will be purely character-driven roleplay with little to no combat, while others will drop you straight into gritty, intense battlefields. Custom Art: As a GM bonus, I can provide custom sprite art for your custom Mobile Suits and potentially your characters! What I Ask from Players: Patience & Feedback: I am a first-time GM stepping over to the other side of the screen for my first full campaign (after running a couple of one-shots). I might make mistakes, but I am very open to constructive tips and feedback! Roleplay Focus: We are here to craft a compelling story together, not just min-max or go on kill streaks. If you want to shape the Universal Century, this is your chance.
