Description

`` Ahoy Mateys!  This here is a job offer. One promising adventure on a sandbox island filled with excitement and danger! 'A scurvy-ridden, rules light, art heavy tabletop RPG. Inspired by history, fantasy, horror and rum. Your cutlass & flintlock won’t save you from the hordes of skeletons, the Kraken, or even your own crew. This game is about being a greedy, filthy, scoundrel. Find a ship. Recruit some crew. Raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer your weasley black guts out. Get a bigger ship. Kill some things. Upgrade your ship. Sneak into a fort. Raid a port. Acquire treasure. Bury said treasure. Become infamous. Search for someone else’s treasure. Flee in terror from unfathomable creatures from the deep. Drink all of the rum. Die on the high seas. Roll a new character and do it all again.' PIRATE BORG is a self-contained rules-light RPG for running swashbuckling campaigns. Character creation is optimized for random generation (though not required), and during combat all rolls are made by the players: enemies don’t roll to attack, instead PCs roll to defend. Pirate Borg is fun, easy to learn, potentially deadly, and perfect for OSR/NuSR style one-shots and for campaigns that focus more on player agency and smart decisions and less on character optimization and “what’s on my character sheet”. 🎲 RPG System: PIRATE BORG 🦜 🎭 Game Type: Short Campaign with the potential to expand out! 🧠 Genre/Style: Gritty, potential horror, although it leads to plenty of humour, purposeful or otherwise! 📅 Date & Time (with timezone!): TBD! ALTHOUGH I am GMT and potentially during the Weekdays! Session length depends on what players can do! 📍 Location: Online using a VTT! 👥 Max Players: 3-6 📜 Character Info: Starting level 1! Rolling characters are very much a part of Pirate Borg. Trust me, it's hilarious and brings ou🏴‍☠️t incredible characters! 🔞 Content Warnings / Age Restrictions (if any): 16+ Because it will be graphic (mostly in a cool way! and just general pirate themes of kidnapping, colonization, the likes. 📝 How to Apply: Potential format is in the thread although you can just DM! 💬 Misc. Details: Pirate Borg is a rules-lite, easy to learn system. It takes no time at all to figure out and have fun! Name (What you will like to be referred to as): Age Range: Time Zone: Availability: Experience (With Pirate Borg or any system!): Knowledge of Pirate Borg: Feelings on rolling a character: Favourite dnd/Fantasy monster: Thoughts on Pirate settings/characters:

West Marches / Living World
One world and a big pool of players, but no fixed party - whoever signs up that week is who plays.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Short Story Long ago, the land was consumed by war. Cities fell, countless lives were lost, and fear spread as the Avatar, a malevolent force, unleashed demons and monsters across the realm. In time, a band of heroes from distant lands, joined by champions of the realm itself, rose to face the darkness. Through their courage and sacrifice, the Avatar was finally defeated, and peace was restored. Yet not all wounds healed so easily. During the war, one of the dwarven clans, driven by greed and manipulated by the Avatar’s influence, sided with the forces of darkness. Though the evil was defeated, the stain of that betrayal remained. Trust in the dwarves was broken, and many races and rival clans never truly forgave them. Now, in the city of Amber Trees, also known as Amber City, a new chapter begins. To rebuild their honor and restore faith in their people, the dwarves have founded an adventurers’ guild, offering brave souls the chance to take on dangerous missions, defend the realm, and shape its future. Our adventurers arrive in Amber City in search of glory, fortune, and purpose. By taking up the guild’s call, they will not only forge their own legends, but also help the dwarves reclaim the trust they lost and prove that redemption can be earned through courage, loyalty, and deeds. After some time the dwarven guilds regained some of their reputation back with the help of some powerful heroes. They are now sending caravans to the elven and human territories guarded by the new adventurers and you are one of them. ↠Amount of Players recommended for session: 3 or 4 players ↠Type of Campaign: Campaign with westmarch style+ Homebrew setting ↠Game System: 5e 2014 + UA with homebrew rules where we dont have any rules in the books ↠Game Style: more on Combat and less on Roleplay ↠Voice Chat: Required, we will use discord ↠Difficulty of Campaign: easy ↠Experience Level: - Any, everyone is welcome ↠Starting Level: Players will make lvl 1 characters with point buy and do one-shots westmarch style low lvl quests with other random players that are online at the same time as them until they form a stable party to go after the high lvl campaign quests. ↠General Overview of Campaign: After a big war that included many races one of them lost its trust . Ghost of Saltmarsh X Call From The Deep (maritime)

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'm looking for two players to join an ongoing, long-term D&D campaign built around immersive roleplay, challenging combat, memorable characters, and a story that can grow far beyond the usual adventure. 🐉 About Me as a DM I'm an experienced DM who has completed several campaigns, including Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and Dreams of the Red Wizards. I've been playing with three players for years, and we're now looking to welcome two new adventurers into our group. I love old-school fantasy, meaningful character interactions, dangerous encounters, and the kind of storytelling that makes the table remember a session long after it's over. I care more about the story and the players' choices than enforcing every rule to the letter. I'm flexible when it makes sense, and my biggest satisfaction as a DM is creating memorable moments and driving a compelling narrative. 🌊 The Campaign The campaign is a long nautical adventure on the Sword Coast, built from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. It starts in Saltmarsh, a small fishing town with a smuggling problem and a divided council. From there it grows into a voyage up and down the coast, through Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Luskan and the pirate islands beyond, as the party uncovers something stirring beneath the waves. Expect your own ship and crew, sea battles, haunted wrecks, flooded ruins, intrigue in port towns and the peoples of the deep, some of whom might become allies. The choices you make will come back to help or haunt you. So far, the party has cleared out a smugglers' den, captured their ship and survived a night aboard a ship of the dead. Now they are deep in a lizardfolk lair, trying to turn an uneasy truce into an alliance. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms, with its foundations inspired by Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. I've built a massive framework with plenty of room for expansion, player-driven stories, and unexpected developments. To give you an idea of the scale, I currently have: 60+ maps prepared. 300 NPCs to meet, befriend, antagonise, or regret crossing. Hundreds of magic items to discover. A campaign framework designed to grow alongside the party( shortlist of about 10 one shots - wiaiting for an opportunity to plug them in)  I also try to bring NPCs to life using VOICEMOD nd my own attempts at different accents. I'm no professional voice actor, but I enjoy making the world feel alive! ⚔️ What to Expect My games focus on roleplay and combat in equal measure. I'm not particularly puzzle-focused, although I'm happy to introduce puzzles when they fit the adventure. Combat is challenging, tactical, and unforgiving. I like putting players under pressure, making their decisions matter, and creating encounters where victory feels earned. Character death is a real possibility, and even a total party kill is on the table. I'll challenge you hard, but I'll give you meaningful choices and opportunities to fight for survival. This isn't a campaign where you can expect every encounter to be balanced around an easy victory. Think carefully, work together, and don't underestimate your enemies.(my motto: never split the party)  🧙 The Current Party You'll be joining a party consisting of: A male tiefling Mystic with psionic abilities. A 6'2" female half-elf/human fighter wielding a two-handed sword. An aaracokra druid. I'm looking for two characters who can become part of this group, contribute to its dynamics, and help shape the direction of the story. 🤝 Who I'm Looking For Personality and teamwork matter more to me than building the perfect character. I'm looking for players who: Have engaging personalities and enjoy interacting with others. Are genuine team players rather than lone wolves who want to be the main character. Enjoy both roleplay and challenging combat. Respect the other players and contribute to a fun, collaborative table. Are interested in committing to a long-term campaign and developing their characters over time. You don't need to be an expert on the rules or an amazing roleplayer. Just bring enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a character who has a reason to be part of the adventure. New players welcome and must be able to commit weekly ( with an exception of holidays or real life) - i have a little boy, my time is scarce sharing between family, travels and work, so i expect a commitment  not a casual attendance.  🎨 A Little About Me Outside the Game When I'm not DMing, I'm a father to a little boy who just started crawling, I paint miniatures, travel, cycle, and craft marketing strategies for living.  D&D is one of my favourite creative outlets, and I put a lot of time and effort into building a world that feels alive. If you're looking for a long-term adventure with rich roleplay, dangerous combat, a living world, and a DM who genuinely enjoys crafting stories with his players, I'd love to hear from you. Two seats are open. The Realms are waiting. It's a free game, i do not provide dnd beyond but can import your character, my foundry has a module to built a character - but ideally let me know what you anticipate to play.

DND Game in Woking, UK

Hi, I am currently DMing a game on alternate wednesday evenings in Woking, UK. Due to a change in workload, I am going to have to step down as DM and am looking for a replacement for the group. There are 6 of us with a wide range of experience from one player who has only ever played a few sessions all the way upto players who have been playing for decades. The campaign is fairly new (about 3 sessions). Players are level 2 and are running through Lost Mines of Phandelver. They are happy for a new DM to takeover from where they are or to start a new campaign. They are not bothered about whether it is homebrew or a module - but they would like a healthy, balanced mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay and prefer high fantasy over scifi or  steam punk. They don't mind starting a campaign from scratch, but wouldlike to keep their character concepts if they can. The group is a great mix of personalities and I have loved DMing for them. Let me know if you are interested.
