Hey everyone! I run a D&D community called Session Zero. We’ve had incredible growth over the last few days with so many amazing new faces joining us, and we are looking to expand our tables! Our main goal is simple: create a relaxed, welcoming space where people from all over can get together and just enjoy playing D&D. What to expect Players Welcome: We have campaigns spinning up all the time. We have games spanning multiple timezones, so if you want to play, there is a seat waiting for you! No more scrolling through Forums for a table! We don't charge anything. Everything is free. Always. Calling DMs: Our demand for games is growing more and more. You won't have an issue finding players to fill them seats! Want to run a game? Then you're more than welcome to host here! With everything in house, no more hunting for players. We make you dedicated campaign channels, DMs sharing tons of resources they've built up and we can help anyway we can! While we are thrilled with our active player base, we are on the hunt for EU based DMs to help run some games. We have a few EU campaigns starting up, but getting more rolling is our top priority! (And of course, we are still welcoming DMs from outside the EU as well!) DM Perks: I have a large DnDBeyond book selection I share with DMs running games in here. Fully free! The Vibe: Whether you're a longstanding DM looking to find a new group of players to take on a magical adventure, or perhaps wanting to get into the DM chair for the first time but need some support, you will be more than welcome. Our player base is a mix from never playing a game before to years of experience. If you're a player who's only just picking up your first quest or have been on many adventures, come grab a stool in our laid-back 18+ community. It's not just 5e! Fear of the Unknown is a zero prep horror mystery game designed for one-shots and inspired by horror movies, from slasher flicks to possession films to conspiracy thrillers Together, one Oracle and one or more other players will collaboratively create the small town setting and populate it with a diverse and contentious cast of characters. Each player creates their protagonist, and then the Oracle creates a horrifying mystery for them to solve. Every game has a real mystery to solve with a real secret to uncover, with zero prep required! Fear of the Unknown introduces the Seeking the Unknown system, which focuses on leading questions that help you create a world, characters, and story with no preparation, and lasting changes to your character with every decision you make and every time you roll the dice. Warhammer 40,000 is a British miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop. It is the most popular miniature wargame in the world, and is particularly popular in the United Kingdom. The first edition of the rulebook was published in September 1987, and the tenth and current edition was released in June 2023. Description Warhammer 40,000 is set in the distant future, where a stagnant human civilisation is beset by hostile aliens and supernatural creatures. The models in the game are a mixture of humans, aliens, and supernatural monsters wielding futuristic weaponry and supernatural powers. The fictional setting of the game has been developed through a large body of novels published by Black Library (Games Workshop's publishing division). Warhammer 40,000 was initially conceived as a scifi counterpart to Warhammer Fantasy Battle, a medieval fantasy wargame also produced by Games Workshop.  Warhammer Fantasy shares some themes and characters with Warhammer 40,000 but the two settings are independent of each other. The game has received widespread praise for the tone and depth of its setting, and is considered the foundational work of the grimdark genre of speculative fiction, the word grimdark itself derived from the series' tagline: "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war". Coriolis: The Third Horizon (CTTH) is a science-fiction RPG from Free League Publishing. Published in 2016, it is one of the earliest implementations of the Year Zero Engine. Inspired by the cultures and aesthetics of Arabia and North Africa, it offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional space opera setting. The player characters are the crew of a starship: free traders, explorers, mercenaries, agents, or pilgrims. Bound together by debt, necessity, and ambition. Every job carries them deeper into the Third Horizon, a cluster of thirty-six star systems linked by mysterious Portals left behind by a vanished alien progenitor race. Description The game assumes the PCs are already together as the crew of a starship, though the nature of that crew is entirely up to the players. Characters begin with broad concepts such as Artist, Data Spider, Fugitive, Negotiator, Operative, Pilot, Preacher, Scientist, Ship Worker, Soldier, or Trailblazer. These are concepts and starting points rather than classes: a Soldier might be a legionnaire, a mercenary, a palace guard, or something entirely different.
