Description

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: Log in to view Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
this is a beginner friendly campaign that is inspired by the game series mass effect So you and your group of friends were still drunk that when you stumbled into the woods and found a strange and abandoned space ship, completely unaware its a nautiloid ship that's used by mind flayers well you and your friends stole it and started having a bunch of adventures including intergalactic ones where you even recruited some people to join you to keep this spaceship running. only to eventually stumble onto evidence that a group of more zealot than normal gith and mind flayers have created a TERRIBLE alliance and are preparing to dominate the galaxy and sword coast so its up to you and your stolen space ship to stop it This game has heavy rpg element's, puzzles and mystery and a focus of not just the main campaign but finding allies and recruiting for your new ship Content warnings  Body Horror Extreme Violence Execution Genocide Gore Kidnapping Mass Death Talk of Superior Race Terrorism In Session 0, I discuss player boundaries and also share my own boundaries as the DM. It’s also a great opportunity to set clear expectations for the campaign before we start playing. If any issues arise later for any reason, I’m happy to hold another Session 0 to revisit boundaries and safety tools together. During sessions, I build in regular breaks (usually 5–10 minutes, or longer if needed). These give everyone a chance to rest mentally, grab something to eat, or take care of personal needs. Players are always welcome to request a break at any time. During more intense sessions or scenes, I remind everyone that my private messages (DMs) are always open. If you ever feel uncomfortable but don’t want to speak up in the moment, you can message me privately. I take all feedback seriously and will prioritize your comfort. At the end of intense sessions, I always do a quick check-in to make sure everyone is okay Payment is weekly through startplaying  Link to startplaying to sign up or for more information

A flying city of portals, the City of Doors has closed. The gods have decreed that The Reckoning has come and the Material Plane's time is over. All that is left now is the Endlands, immeasurable leagues of sunless wastes, fled by all who can escape to the Outer Planes. But something else moves in the shadows. Might there be something worse than the end of the Material Plane after all? In this mash-up of Planescape and Stephen King's Dark Tower epic, you will explore a reality moving on, discover the secrets of its creation, and decide its fate once and for all. Your heroes have come together from across D&D's time and space to a land of sunless light, unpredictable magic, and guns. Lots of guns. Let's hope you're quick on the draw. Built for players with all levels of experience, Spireward Bound follows a semi-episodic structure. Every few sessions, your characters are confronted with a new, exciting situation on your journey, each of which is designed for open-ended adventure. Our adventure is underway, but there's room at the fireside for more travelers! The posse are level 12 and consists of: 🐎 Potra Equidos, Centaur Paladin and entertainer, dedicated to Kelemvor. Always the first to charge in with battle axe and shotgun, but never sure we're going the right way. ✊ Jasir al-Sahir, Drow Monk/Warlock, newly undead and struggling with the competing influence of Dabus 19 and the Frontier Flames. A increasingly erratic investigator with a hound at his side. 🐲 Fin, Kobold Rogue and seasoned bounty hunter. A little guy with a big job, eager to track down the Herald. In pursuit of the Justice Tarot and worried about growing danger to the Endlands, they find themselves planning to hijack a Mind Flayer train!
