Description

Centuries ago, the gods of the world known as Krynn abandoned their children. As they left, they ripped the lands asunder in what we now know as the Cataclysm, with few records remaining of the times before. Now, the vast organization known as the Seekers search for signs of new divinity. If the old gods are gone, surely new gods will step in to take their place? Their passion and faith in the future of Krynn has led them to bring hope and succor to the survivors of a broken world. You are citizens of the town known as Solace, beloved for its vast Vallenwood tree at the center. Rumor has it that the High Theocrat of Solace, Seeker Hederick, has received information about where proof of the new gods can be found. What none know is that something is terribly wrong with Krynn. Eight heroes should be meeting in Solace, and their destiny should lead Krynn out of the Age of Despair. But Krynn's past has been altered by the thorns of a black rose. Now the world is in your hands. And you're no hero. You're a commoner, the salt of the earth, someone whose potential has been crushed by the reality of life in the Age of Despair. Sometimes, you dream of glory, but then morning comes again. But in secret, in the forests where no one is watching, or in the basements of those who you can trust completely, you train. When the darkness comes, you will raise a torch. And do all you can to make it enough. "Krynn: Choked by Black Thorns" is a reimagining of the classic Dragonlance saga from the weary eye of a man in 2026. This is not an actual play, just a friends-and-family style game that happens to be online. I've chosen Pathfinder 2e as the ruleset because I've had at least five years of experience running games online in that system, but I also spent a few years running Dungeon Crawl Classics online. Interested players must be members of or allies to the LGBTQ+ community. The game leans slightly towards the "dungeon crawl" type of play; roleplaying is strongly recommended but it will be the player's responsibility to make sure it does. New players are extremely welcome. Art is political, and this is the story of downtrodden people rising up to take their world back. "Black Thorns" is not for everyone; see a doctor if conditions worsen or new symptoms appear. For a very clear statement about what you can and should expect from this game, see Log in to view.

Seeking at least 2 players for long term campaign: if interested respond here, or add me via discord: darksc2. Easier to message me through Reddit though. Story synopsis [undead themed] Pheanulon the Undying Empire: The Six Realms of Rane are in an Age of Prosperity, as they are rebuilding their strength after the last Calamity left them greatly weakened. As opposed to them, the Edrepis Dynasty of Verera was able to keep most of their strength and therefore was able to unify their continent under their Faith But the finer details of these Grand Stories are too much for now, you were interested in a flier of a Trading Companies job posting about excavating a rediscovered tomb that paid very well. So you made your way to their company from all different corners of the world; some people arrived earlier than you and were able to complete the job where they found clues of the past Undead Calamity known as "The Dark Tide" coming back to the world. For that reason, they quickly left for their next job for not only more clues but also personal goals, not believing them or wanting to support this group in their endeavour you decide to head off after them session time and requirements: Saturday at 6pm cst which goes for a time period of 3-4 hours. Need discord and foundry browser. Please if applying come with a character concept and idea. Player preference on roleplayers but the campaign is split roughly 60/40 between roleplay and combat. DM is German and English is his second language so if that is a deal breaker maybe rethink it. system and rules used: free archetype/ancestral paragon are rules implemented into the game. Banned creation choices: Classes: Exemplar Races: Samsaran, Wayang, Jotunborn, Vishkanya Yaksha Heritages: Ancient Elf, Ancient-Blooded Dwarf

It is the post apocalyptic future of the world of RIFTS.  “300 years in the future, our shattered Earth is recovering from the Great Cataclysm.  An event that wiped out human civilization, brought about the return of magic and has Made Earth into something both familiar and alien.  Humans transform and augment their bodies with bionics, robot exoskeletons, psionic-inducing Brian implants, chemicals, and magic to survive.” “Tears in space and time — the Rifts — are doorways to anywhere.  Open one and step through it to travel anywhere on the planet in a matter of seconds.  Aliens and supernatural beings use them to travel across the Megaverse to arrive on Earth.  You are one of the champions, the heroes of mankind, or an explorer or truth-seeker who braves the savage wilderness and dares to face the demons, dragons, aliens, and weird creatures fro the Rifts.” Keven  Siembieda Hi, I am looking for players, new or experienced to play a campaign of Rifts in post-apocalypse Europe’s New German Republic, Gargoyle Empire, and surrounding area.  Ideally, 4-6 players would be great. I propose weekly Sunday, voice games starting at 4pm Pacific Time Zone (GMT -7, currently).  If the party wishes to begin earlier or later, I am a little bit flexible. We’ll begin with a session 0, to discuss the type of campaign we’d like to explore and create characters.  This is the original game that is similar to previous D20 systems, that was created in the early 90’s.  (This is not the Savage Worlds Version.)  I will be using the RIFTS Ultimate Edition and particular books, which will limit the available character classes.  Please read the listing for more information, feel free to post a question, or dm me. Check out the page over at StartPlaying when you're ready to get started! Check it out here! Have you ever watched an anime where an adventurer's guild gets introduced and then is completely ignored? Did you think to yourself, "Wow, wouldn't it have been cool if they'd actually done something with the adventurer's guild..?" Well, want no more! This will be an adventure structured around guild life, ranked missions, anime vibes, and the rule of cool. There will be a lot in the way of combat and plenty of opportunities to show off your build while exploring ancient ruins, ransacking big, custom dungeons, and probably being a menace to a corrupt government official or two. Inspired by modern and old school fantasy anime, alike (think Slayers, Lodoss War, and Berserk as well as DanMachi, Shield Hero, and Goblin Slayer). Everything will happen in a custom setting, on a continent called Mirth that has an epic apocalyptic backstory and a cast of exciting and eccentric NPCs to set up for epic campaigns. This game is welcome to anyone who wants to play Pathfinder 2e for the first time or the fiftieth. If you love Pathfinder's combat, awesome anime fights, and a touch of anime power fantasy, then you're invited to join the Mirth Hero's Guild. Come become the biggest, baddest dude in the room and then make sure everyone knows it! *** Play-by-Post is a low-stress, highly-rewarding format and I love helping people get a grasp on it. Do you want to join a campaign but your availability prevents you from committing regularly? Does engaging at your own pace throughout the week without the pressure of the moment and with consistent Gamemaster support sound like something you'd enjoy. Well you're in the right place! The Play-by-Post (PbP) format is nearly as old as D&D and is a rewarding way to engage in this fantastic pastime. While it is true that the comradery of the kitchen table is lost in PbP, you gain the ability to plan without pressure, to refine your roleplay, to research your actions. Many see Play-by-Post as more immersive than live games, that the Theater-of-the-Mind is more easily engaged without the typical distractions of the table. Expect 1-3 posts a day from me, during the week. That means mechanically or narratively significant posts that move combat and/or the story along.
