Game: dnd 5e 2024 (with 2014 character build options) Experience: open to beginners and experienced players Timezone: UTC + 2 Schedule: once every two weeks,, on Thursday evenings Game Style: Casual / beginner-friendly Theme: High fantasy with medieval roots, mixed with steampunk and bio/eco-punk elements. think warforged, magic-powered airships, and nature-shaped technology. Webcam & microphone needed! ( webcam is due hearing disability DM) Hey everyone! I’ve been playing D&D for a while and I’ve been dming for about half a year now. While I already run another game on Saturdays I'm hoping to start off a campaign in a different setting! Which is in a worldbuilding project I've been working on for the past few months and I'm so excited to share it with people! So far I already have one player for the group a dear friend of mine whose as excited as me to be playing! Campaign pitch A century of peace holds across the lands, guided by a council of nations. But whispers of something ancient and powerful are beginning to stir. You are a group of adventurers from different lands. knights, detectives, scholars or guild agents. Brought together for a mission that seems simple at first: investigate missing cargo connected to the world council. To aid you on your journey, you’ll receive help from Hilda Gearwright, affectionately known as Granny, and her loyal automaton companion, Bolt. Granny’s knowledge and airship will carry you toward your destination. But the closer you get, the stranger things become. At the accident site, you’ll encounter a mysterious figure trying to interfere with something hidden. What is their purpose, and what dangers lie ahead? Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
This is a beginner friendly and open campaign where the players get to decide on what they want to do whilst playing.  The world lore revolves around the dead 3, which are the 3 gods that share the throne of death after the old god of the dead resigned. The world has and will slowly become worse and worse off whilst the dead 3 fight for power in the material plane. Additionally I am trying to have a kind of psychological horror feeling when in comes to this campaign  We play for around 3-4 hours, often with a short break and every session starts at 8pm cet, or to be very specific, Swedish time. We use a discord channel for verbal communication during our sessions and it also works for keeping notes, recaps and just general hanging out with the other players outside of sessions If you're interested, please send me a short message request, maybe a short description of you: pronouns, age and most importantly how you are as a player.
