this is a beginner friendly campaign that is inspired by the game series mass effect So you and your group of friends were still drunk that when you stumbled into the woods and found a strange and abandoned space ship, completely unaware its a nautiloid ship that's used by mind flayers well you and your friends stole it and started having a bunch of adventures including intergalactic ones where you even recruited some people to join you to keep this spaceship running. only to eventually stumble onto evidence that a group of more zealot than normal gith and mind flayers have created a TERRIBLE alliance and are preparing to dominate the galaxy and sword coast so its up to you and your stolen space ship to stop it This game has heavy rpg element's, puzzles and mystery and a focus of not just the main campaign but finding allies and recruiting for your new ship Content warnings  Body Horror Extreme Violence Execution Genocide Gore Kidnapping Mass Death Talk of Superior Race Terrorism In Session 0, I discuss player boundaries and also share my own boundaries as the DM. It’s also a great opportunity to set clear expectations for the campaign before we start playing. If any issues arise later for any reason, I’m happy to hold another Session 0 to revisit boundaries and safety tools together. During sessions, I build in regular breaks (usually 5–10 minutes, or longer if needed). These give everyone a chance to rest mentally, grab something to eat, or take care of personal needs. Players are always welcome to request a break at any time. During more intense sessions or scenes, I remind everyone that my private messages (DMs) are always open. If you ever feel uncomfortable but don’t want to speak up in the moment, you can message me privately. I take all feedback seriously and will prioritize your comfort. Session 0 is also a great way to manage expectations before the game starts. If due to any reason a problem arise, I will have another session 0 to remind everyone of boundaries and safety techniques. Plus in session 0 we will be going in detail about kinks and what everyone is fine with wants to see or don't see. I do breaks in the sessions to let my players have a chance to think, let them have a time to rest mentally for 5 or 10 minutes, or how ever long my players need, so they know they are able to get something to eat or go have a toilet break During intense sessions I inform and remind everyone that my Dms are always open so they are aware if they do feel uncomfortable at one point and I am not aware and don't want to say it outright i will take it seriously and make sure to keep the player comfort a priority. Hai :3  I've been DMing online for about 2 years now but I've never tried irl, so here I'm trying to start that :p forgive me if I'm rather amateurish  I have two campaigns that I'll decide between based on the player makeup, one a time-loop sandbox I've home-brewed, and another a tighter dungeon crawl, still fairly nonlinear, based on Fear&Hunger. Before any of them, I'd like to run a oneshot to see what type of players I have  Generally, I don't tend to stick super closely to rules as written, and tend to not plan nameless enemies. I also don't have a super firm grasp on the rules themselves lol so it'll be a learning experience for all of us (so generally, not trying for the highest heights of difficulty)  In terms of players, I'm hoping to find people who aren't super old (I'm sixteen, ideally be under 20) and who are ok with the queers™ (don't be an arse basically)  So ya :3 if you want a roleplay-planning focused campaign rather than turn by turn battle strategy this is probably the campaign for you ✨  If your interested, DM me on discord at 'lavenderthesillycat'
